Why hasn't President Obama sent in Federal Troops to protect the protestors?
The question is simple. Why hasn't the President stopped citizens from being brutalized on the streets as they exercise their Constitutional rights of speech and free assembly?

I'm sure the military would just love to have to go protect lawbreakers from law enforcement.
Idiot.

3. Kennedy sent in troops during the civil rights protests because
the people were being beaten and fire hosed by local/state police. Isn't public safety a priority?
Obviously public safety wasn't an issue for the past 2 months, or the OWieS would have been shown the door long ago.

In the 1960s the democrat party, in the process of going crazy, decided to abandon the southern states and develop, through dependence on government programs, a captive base of minorities.
It was a strategic calculation the national democrats made, deciding that an amalgamation of minority groups would offset the electoral strength of the South.
One aspect of capturing that base was absolute support for any disruptions of any kind by these minority groups, including the use of federal troops.
Today, the democrat party probably recognizes that these smelly hippie hordes mostly don't vote, if they did they would represent a tiny niche, and huge numbers of people will vote in opposition to anything and anyone identified with the hippies. The Nixon-McGovern election is an example of that.
It's possible the democrat party will go even crazier, and allow themselves to be identified with the rioters. It would be great if that happened, but it's unlikely.

Let me handle this one for ya:

19. I personally prefer seeing the local heros show themselves first, and the cowards revealed.
As is happening now.
Had Obama stepped in sooner, maybe we would never have learned how shitty were the Oakland Mayor, UC Davis leaders, et al, are.
This is happening in just the right way.
JMHO.
I agree, let the "local heros" sear their images into the minds of the public while Sir Golfsalot plays 3-D chess.

Because forgiving student loan debt for upper middle class liberals is just not the same.

Brack Obama is no John Kennedy.
And the first Wookie is no Jackie.

Screw that, send in the Daleks.

Oooh, oooh, Sir Golfsalot. Love it.

Me too. I wish I could take credit for it.

Considering it took him 4 months to send more troops to Afghanistan, I say he should have those OWS troops deployed by April 1st.

When I trolled Livestream I would shout, "HELP US OBAMA!"
