You must watch. I love Yo-Yo Ma.

Wonderful! I'd heard about this project. I like him, too.
For music that good, I can even overlook the fact that the actual term is "goat roping," never goat rodeo

There are few musicians on this planet who bring nearly as much joy into their art as does Yo Yo Ma. He is always expanding himself, learning, and creates new sounds with every project.
He's an inspiration for many, and Mrs E and I are certainly two who are inspired by his sheer joy and artistry - he makes it look easy.
It's good to know he's human, too. He once left his $2.5 million Stradivari cello in the trunk of a NY taxi.

I tried to find a good video of this song, but this was the best I could get.
The behind-the-scenes shots are interesting.

Another great one. That was ineresting. I can't imagine what it would be like to have musical talent.

I saw Yo-Yo Ma on Fox & Friends about a week or so ago. They did this then. My jaw slowly dropped open when he started playing his cello--all it did was add a woodsy-type element, IMO, to the already smokin' bluegrass. His cello is a perfect compliment to the music. Payday is Tuesday. I'll have the album that night.
When I worked at the lab, one of my co-workers was a cellist in the Albany Symphany Orchestra. Our senior PhD. nicknamed him "Yo-Yo Ma." I thought it was an insult, until I heard Yo-Yo Ma play.

Beautiful! I love the simple elegance. Take that silly pop stars!

:exactly: Intonation, balance were perfect. Soulful singing. A real aural treat. Compare this to my stepson's caterwauling while fronting some progressive heavy metal band - earplugs were mandatory. *sigh*

^I would MUCH rather listen to this than something that sounds like 1. a cat being castrated 2. auto-tuned and mechanical 3. nonsensical lyrics that don't make any sense but hey it's a got a catchy hook!
Yeah, I love real music.

It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it. :fuelfire:
Honestly, what I heard the other night can only be construed as screaming. Couldn't understand a damned word, the volume was insanely too much (to the point where we both had to wear earplugs), and while the whole thing was pretty cool for my stepson (his first gig with this band), Mrs E and I got the hell out of there most ricky-tick.

Well, you did mention it was Metal..........................uggh. ( I like old school Metal, but if it sounds like Cannibal Corpse, yeech)
