A sincere question about police activity in NY and elsewhere
Forgetting the issue of being allowed to camp long term in public venues, what, specifically, do you want the police to allow OWS to do?
Are the police supposed to stand by and allow protesters to, e.g., shut down NYSE, impede vehicular trarric, disrupt mass transit, close a bridge?
A sincere question, can I get some sincere answers?

This should go over real well. :whatever: Think it'll go down the $kinnerhole?

I can hardly wait to see what nadin says.
On second thought, yeah, I can wait.

Nice find, Rev.
I don't think the redgiant primitive isn't long for this world.

5. What about the rights of the people
who depend on the NYSE, the streets, the transit, the bridges, etc?
Are not the civil authorities to protect all citizens' rights, even (gasp) those on non-protesters, and maintain orderly civic functions?

20. Of course you're right...
anyone who poses reasonable or pertinent questions about OWS aims or tactics MUST BE on the other side.
Just shut up and march with the others, right?

8. Yeah, democracy in action isn't for the (gasp) faint of heart...
Streets are closed all around my building... I have no idea how long it will take me to get home tonight. Ask me if I care... gawan... ask me.
What about the people who work hard all day and just want to get home and be with their family? Instead they are stuck in traffic because of a mass temper tantrum by people who are intellectually children.

3. It was my impression that they were sworn to uphold the Constitution
including the 1st Amendment. I could be wrong about that.
The constitution doesn't say that free speech can impede on the rights of the masses. I know you freaks think that the first amendment gives you absolute rights, yet we still have laws in society that must be followed. In fact I am amused by you goons screaming free speech, then you say that Rush, Hannity, Beck and so forth must be removed from the air. You only support free speech if you agree with it.
The Tea Party shaped an election, and we didn't have to shut down the country in order to do so. There is no reason that you goons should disregard the rights of the masses, just so you can throw a temper tantrum. In fact you goons are pissing off people who vote your way. You aren't just pissing off right wingers.

Just looking for a bit of entertainment among all the absolute idiocy on the streams I am watching tonight. (God knows why I decide to watch these...)
Anyone check out the head news story on the Fox News website?
Also, anyone else been watching any NYC streams? They're starting to show that they're indoctrinating children into this shit. THAT irks me!

You referring to the cops being injured by the peaceful OWieS?

These DUmmies are all for the protesters blocking streets and taking over public parks, so why can we start protesting the federal government by taking over the national parks? We could protest by using them for 4-wheeling, snow mobiles and SUV driving. Seems fair to me. Maybe oil companies could protest government regulations by drilling on public lands.

21. It is so simple. There's very little hitting the news about places where the cops aren't ordered to
be assholes. How many times have you seen Harrisburg, PA mentioned in the national news? We've got a few hundred camped out in front of the capital building. Nice spot by the way. The authorities are only making themselves look bad by being assholes. Olberman had it right - the idiots who are ordering clamp-downs are the ones who are necessary to keep the movement alive.
Are they blocking traffic?
Are they being disruptive to normal people trying to make a living?
Are they trashing the capitol grounds?
Any drug arrests?
Any rape arrests?
I thought not.
BTW, hopey hoops take the hundred out of there, and you're probably closer to the truth.

By the way, Doug's stupid ex-wife got a new miniature cook-stove for the Airstream.
But I can't remember where I saw it on Skins's island.

Dear, poor, stupid, stupid, Beth,
We all know you only care about your right to express free speech.
I've been in crowds surrounded by your Fascist-Communist lot shouting down Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Etc. when others where there to hear those speakers.
You are a moron and quite probably life has punished you for that already.
Be well.

Which is why the founders in their wisdom did not set up a democracy but a representative republic.
They invisioned a mob of hysterical idiots that wanted government to move with the emotional whim of the day.

They were taught in school, as I was that we are a democracy.

4. I want the police to take a lunch break and never return to their jobs.
"Are the police supposed to stand by and allow protesters to, e.g., shut down NYSE, impede vehicular trarric, disrupt mass transit, close a bridge?"
Yes.
Careful what you wish for there, braindead.
