That post just goes to show that with all the anti tea party ranting, they have NO CLUE what was driving the Tea Party.

Why would they support this nonsense?  That would mean they have lost focus on the problem, which is the gov't and not Wall Street.  OWS is protesting the symptom, not the disease.

I wonder if DB isn't thinking deep down, "I wonder if the OWS would get more respect, more legitimacy, if they had acted like the Tea Party.  No arrests, no poop, no flag stomping, no law-breaking, no infringing on other people's rights and property.  Just air grievances and get new people elected in an orderly manner."

Remember, the Tea Party is not a grass roots movement. It is a corporate funded imitation of one.

Nevertheless, the Tea Party is made up of individual people, each of whom, by definition, is capable of transcending the astroturf and thereby breaking the ideological chains that bind them to a failed economic system that is more likely to starve them with the rest of us than it is to reward them for their loyalty.

The rank and file tea partier is a prisoner in Plato's cave. Let up bring him into the sun.

To echo Doc's post, more proof that they have no idea what the Tea Party is about.

Actually, it's the OWieS who fit that description, not the Tea Partiers.

Honest: OWieS claim to be respectable, law- abiding citizens whose movement is completely nonviolent, even as reports of acts of violence committed by Occupiers continue pouring in. OWieS claim to represent 99% of Americans, evan though a) not even 3% of American citizens agree with their positions let alone 99%, and b) Many OWieS are wealthy trust- fund brats who are a part of the very same wealthy upper class they portray as evil incarnate. Do those things sound honest?

Rational: OWieS are drug- addled, deranged sociopaths who, when asked what their goals/ demands are, usually ramble out a laundry list of extremely unreasonable if not completely insane demands. These are people who got extremely violent when businesses (i.e. McDonald's, street hot dog vendors) refused to give them free food. Does that sound rational?

Serious: When city officials requested that Occupiers send a representative to negotiate with and thus learn the OWieS' demands, the OWieS sent a dog (Though, in fairness, the dog is probably the intellectual superior of at least 95% of the OWieS). Is that something that serious people part of a serious movement do?
So, it's the OWieS, not the Tea Party, that are 0 for 3 in that regard.

First of all, there would be a permit.
Secondly, the owsies would need to get porta-potties.
Thirdly, they'd have to pick up after themselves.
Fourthly, they would have to bathe/shower on a regular basis.
Fifth, they would obey the directions of LEOS.
Sixth, no drugs.
