9. I went out and got a pot to beat on. Couldn't find a decent
wooden spoon, plastic will have to do.
I am going to fill my car up with gas this morning.
My $40-50 purchase should more than wipe out any OWS shortfall for the day.

Can anyone get down to the occupation for a bit? Cory is down there by himself. We need folks out there ahead of the march this afternoon. Please head down there now if possible. Thanks! -Bob

My union has fliers up, encouraging people to go to the Occupy Albany "event."Is the union encouraging people to leave their jobs to attend the "event" or to go after the work day is complete?
I'll pass.
Setback in our occupation status…
Posted on November 14, 2011 by One of the 99%
We had to break down our occupation due to lack of people willing to occupy overnight or even stay for awhile as relief (one of our members was there for over 100 hours straight, much of which was spent alone). We are very grateful for the funding, donations, and support we received- including from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office- but we could not keep it going without others willing to show up.
We still have the infrastructure ready- tents, blankets, donations- but we need other people to sign up for scheduled times before we are willing to give this another shot. Please check out our Facebook page and let us know what times you are willing to come down and stay, even if only a few hours at a time.
Please reassess your convictions for supporting this movement as a whole and be reminded you needn’t travel far to participate!
We are postponing Movie Mondays for the time being but have planned a tentative Teach-In Tuesday for Tuesday, November 22 (please RSVP). We hope to resume Movie Mondays after Thanksgiving. As our permit has expired and we have the okay to meet whenever, we will no longer be meeting from M-F 5-9/Sat-Sun 3-6, but will be meeting on an as-needed basis. If you have a proposal for meeting, please post it to Facebook.

1:56 pm: at least one medic reports someone bleeding from the head inside the Square. NYPD is preventing medics from helping.
1:53 pm: for no apparent reason, police have invaded Liberty Square and began indiscriminately shoving people and hitting people with batons
1:49 pm: paddy wagons approaching; more and more police surrounding the square; no way in or out; imminent mass arrests anticipated
1:43 pm: police using metal barricades to seal off Liberty Square; peaceful protestors are being told they are not allowed to leave; widespread reports of violence inside
1:38 pm: helmeted police are raiding Liberty Square, batons drawn; they have closed off the entrances and are not letting people in or out
Sorry for my jubilation. I hate a ****ing Communist.
