Google's logo, famous for highlighting left-wing causes and individuals, is "commemorating" Veteran's Day with a leftist-leaning "yellow ribbon" logo as opposed to a more appropriate patriotic theme (such as CC's Veteran's Day picture). I realize that Google is ensuring that there is no nationalism as Veteran's Day is commemorated (which was actually celebrating "Armistace Day," or the end of WW1), but using a pacifist theme rather than a theme that indicates its truer mission is not sitting well with me.
Any comments?

The "gold" ribbon around a tree is a strong sign of support for the troops, probably about as far as google was willing to go. But not a negative, IMO.

On Google Canada we got a small poppy under the search input.
I think getting mad over the logo image is a bit much.

I like the poppy tradition of Canada and the UK.
I've never seen the yellow ribbon as a "leftist" symbol. When I was in college, the College Republicans sold yellow ribbon car magnets.

OK, I will back off. Again, I'd rather have seen a more appropriate remembrance logo, but I do realize that with multiple countries celebrating what was meant to commemorate the end of WW1, I can see how such a logo would have to include valorous veterans from other countries. Thanks.

I don't know how old you are but during GW1 there were yellow ribbons tied around trees as far as the eye could see. "Veteran's Day" has become just that - commemorating veteran's. Good on google for doing something tasteful.

I associate the yellow ribbon with the Tony Orlando song and not any leftist agenda.

Yep, and the same was true for most of the recent wars too, the family support centers at a lot of installations are still called 'Yellow Ribbon Rooms.' GOP Congress is wildly off-base on this one.

"Wildly" off-base may be relative. Like most people, I prefer trust to come over verification of same over a period of time. Google has been not just neutral but anti-American in its bias in the past, so perhaps my bias is apparent. That's fair.
I'm a veteran myself so that adds to my own bias. But I will concede and state unequivocally, "Good on Google!" All the way, sir, and then some...airborne!

OK, consider yourself 'Relatively' chastised, then.
