With wintry weather poised to swoop into the cramped outdoor quarters of Occupy Wall Street protesters, it may not be long before more campers catch what's being called "Zuccotti lung."

That's what demonstrators have dubbed the sickness that seems to be spreading among them at an unpleasantly high rate these days: "It's a real thing," Willie Carey, 28, told the New York Times.

Yep, TB now this.  Soon it will be known as Occupy an iron lung.

You ever do EB?  There is a hill going to the waterfront I use to call luggy hill.   I mean disgusting, even worse than the grinders at bootcamp.

Just goes to show you they are so nasty they even make themselves sick.....Too much exposure to a bad thing eventually takes it toll.

EB-Electric Boat?  Nope, not that lucky.

Great Lakes, Idaho Falls, Orlando, Charleston, Guam, San Diego, Pearl, and a few hundred port visits in there somewhere.

You left out the good parts:

The damp clothing and cardboard signs wet with rain are also breeding grounds for mold. Some protesters are urinating in bottles and leaving food trash discarded throughout the campground, providing further opportunities for nastiness.

“Pretty much everything here is a good way to get sick,” Salvatore Cipolla, 23, from Long Island, told the Times. “It’ll definitely thin the herd.”

Some protesters have refused free flu shots, citing a "government conspiracy," the Times said.

There is also the increased risk among the encampment of sexually transmitted diseases, said the doctor, Dr. Philip M. Tierno, Jr. of the NYU Langone Medical Center. And the site's pounding circles could lead to hearing damage.

Darwin called. He said, "**** you! Dirty, stupid hippies!"

Sounds like the early stages of a zombie virus outbreak.  Shoot them all now, for the good of mankind.

Disease is sweeping through the protests, and they can't be bothered to even maintain common sense basic hygiene.  If it weren't for the fact that at some point they will be returning to the real world and spreading whatever nastiness they are catching, I would say that they deserve what they get.

Fence them in. That'll take care of the problem.

With little sleep in cold conditions, cigarettes and drinks being passed from mouth to mouth, and few opportunities to wash hands, Zuccotti Park may now just be the best place to catch respiratory viruses, norovirus (also known as the winter vomiting virus) and tuberculosis, according to one doctor.
For the life of me, I just don't understand how so many of them are falling ill to the same sickness..

I was thinking a wall, personally.  Around the perimeter of Manhattan Island.  With steel reinforced concrete plugs in the tunnels and demo charges on the bridges.

Ah, I love his version of that song.  I rode colts on one of his former ranches in Elko County, NV.

As to the OWS germ infested bunch... what the heck did they expect?  I'm with C. Rose, they are getting what they deserve, in fact, what they are insisting upon.

And water to a depth of 20 feet
