A little factoid the MSM will not cover
You know how many people were watching berkeley last night over many streams? Mind you this was twelve thirty at night PST. 30,000 people. That's the estimated audience.
For channels that get little FORMAL advertising that's not too shabby. In fact, at that time of night not shabby at all.
I just wanted to share that with you. I mean when the argument is made that eyeballs will not be attracted to this...audiences are just building.

Somehow there is no mention at all as to the source of the "factoid".
I seem to recall factoids as little bits of info that could be true, but hardly ever bear up to scrutiny.

4. The UnRec crew just can't help their twitchy little fingers!
Perhaps they see a BS story?

No one worries overmuch about them little factoids.

20. Infrastructure will need to grow
I know.
You don't know much of anything of value, Nads.
Go play with some old dynamite or something.

I have been occasionally looking at the Occupy Berkeley LiveStream (http://www.livestream.com/occupyberkeley) since she posted this. There is a counter that shows the number of viewers on the lower left of the screen, the highest I have seen it at is 40. I have kind of a hard time believing 30k viewers were on at 1230 am PST. I wish someone would ask her to provide a source for that estimate.

Well, she did say it's the "estimated audience."
You sir actually saw about 40, which nadin then estimates as being 30,000.

Whoops, looks like this one (http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution) is the official occupy Berkeley livestream. Current viewers 766, still a long way from 30k.

Also, there is this:
85,031 viewer minutes, so either those 30,000 people were all on for less than 3 minutes and everybody else has barely watched, or she is lying out of her behind.
-
I suspect the majority of the viewers are conservatives waiting for a cop to jump out of the bushes, and put a beat-down on a hippy.
I'd even go there to watch that.

DUmmie greyl explains it in this thread (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2276099#2276135)

So thirty thousand people watch streaming video on all services, on all subjects, from eagle nests to surf cams, with a few dozen tuned into the hippie camps.
I like to watch streaming video from Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras. Having been there once, I think the video is much better than having to step around puddles of puke.

OOPS, factoids threw me off here.
Prep H is used by the Gay comunity to cover their face, shrink lines, wrinkles and red veins of the face. Here I thought we were going to have a discussion on the other benefits of this product.

Nadin so loves it when her bubble is pricked...meta factoids is so perfectly chosen as a piece of terminology.

I had to mute it. The screeching in the background was getting om my nerves.
I love the ticker on the bottom talking about the events in Norfolk yesterday. Man they left a bunch of stuff out. :rotf:

A hundred or so viewers of any site like that are press stringers, waiting to see anything soundbite-worthy.
