Several articles at link. Very interesting reading and a part of history which I need to study more in depth.

In front of St. Alexander's Roman Catholic Church in Kiev (built in the late 1810s, it was a planetarium under the socialists, and re-conscretated in 1991), there is a bell inside an archway, specially made by a German company to last a very long time.
The bell is meant to be rung once every half hour, twenty-four hours a day, day and night, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year, in commemoration of each Ukrainian who died under socialism.
Rung once every half hour, the bell's supposed to be rung for the next circa 1150 years.

Good way for rememberance. Christmas Day should be a day of rememberance of victims and triumph over Communism because Communism collapsed in the Soviet Union on that day. Also, Stalin's henchman Lavarentii Beria was executed. He killed a lot of people and got what he deserved.
