Title: OMG, Brilliant! Occupy Denver elects a Border Collie as leader
Post by: dandi on November 08, 2011, 08:20:37 AM
Reason #361 why OWS is doomed to failure.

I have to admit though, the Border Collie is probably the most intelligent creature in the entire gathering.

OMG, Brilliant! Occupy Denver elects a Border Collie as leader

after the mayor asked them to elect a leader who could negotiate with the city about the occupation's camp site.

Of course, most of Mr. Skinner's fifth grade special ed class thinks it's great:

9. It's addressing the idea of a leaderless movement which some folks are incapable of understanding.

It's genius and funny and it's the best possible response to the demand for a leader to "negotiate with".
:P

Yeah, if someone disagrees with your idiotic behavior, they just don't "get it".  :whatever:

40. Ridiculous and fascistic demands

should never be taken seriously.

If I were mayor, I'd say, "Oh, we're negotiating with dogs? Why didn't you say so?", and send in a few German Shepherds from riot control.

Then over the bullhorn, "LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU'VE REACHED A CONSENSUS!"

They picked the smartest and most articulate attendee.  Truth be told, the dog is probably a conservative, attending the protest only because it's owned by a liberal scumbag.

I was raised around this breed of dog----smart we call them because the learn their masters comands so fast.
They live to herd other animals on the comand of a master far away using a whistle to turn right left and catch the few that wander away from the heard.

Mindless dogs, the exist only to obey their Masters and have no other choice of their own.   Without a Master they are lost, few will know what to do when a Wolf attacks the sheep, they will on times react but most wait for their Master to tell them what to do.

Poor choice of breed to head an encampment.  With 300+ other breeds to choose from, I wonder what breed I would choose to be a leader.

Any ideas out there, not a herding dog,  they would help round up the people to be arrested.

Given the group in question, I really don't think they were putting that much thought into it. Hence the lame-ass idea to begin with.

Then again, given the herd mentality present at these demonstrations, they may be onto something.

The "Asthma-Hound Chihuahua" would probably have been most appropriate.  The entire thing is kind of an extended Ren & Stimpy episode.  The mayors involved all seem to be playing the part of Stimpy.

The reincarnation of Pigasus.  Do these yahoos have an original idea in their collective nasty bodies or are they just going to recycle the whole late 1960s foolishness?

I object as to the remark on German Shepard's, smart, fast and they do think for themselves.   One of the few full breed-not cross breed --Shepard's to recognise a child from an adult.  I have had Shepard's charge me outside their fence but sit quietly when children approached the same fence.

Watch your local cops with police dogs on the street, they will -the dog- put up with kids patting them, pulling their tail or ears.  Shepard's are just that, a full breed with just minimal training becomes the Nanny of the family.   Now our war dogs and those trained for property protection are another basket of worms, a mongrel is anyones guess, dogs kept in outside kennels, are not for family's.

Our war dogs have the ability to come home and live with a family in their home, the others trained for property protection, kept in outside kennels are not the same as a war dog that eats, sleeps and goes into danger with the handler.   Fortunately we are allowing the war dogs to come home with their handlers today, few years ago it was not the same.

When our men left Nam they had to leave behind the very dogs that had saved their lives, today these men still will tear up about of the fate of their constant bunk mate, protector and wonder what happend to their soul mate.

Shepard's are most unusual dogs, they serve man kind.  Not a good leader that breed, a good protector and friend but it wants to please its owners too much.

On to another breed anyone have a sugestion?

The dog will have more executive experience when this OWS stuff is done than Obama ever had. Maybe the DUmmies can have the dog primary him in the spring.

He'd have to run on the republican ticket since he was bred to actually work for a living.

Is it a sex scandal if their leader licks himself or did they elect him because he represents their movement: neutered

..

Nuts to you, I had a Saint Bernard that I took to a mud foot ball game and there was no problem until the Skipper of the boat came up and the dog decided to  show him who was boss and as big as the dog was humped his waist, not leg mind you.  Short little guy, to this day he must hate Saint Bernard's. The crew cheered as we tried to pull my pet off this man that seemed frazzled.

No problem out on war time patroll but in port the poor man was being raped in front of his crew. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm in favor of the All American Dog, a good old fashioned mutt.  Granted he'd be smarter and have more gumption than the entire rest of their movement put together.

In 1968, the Yippies ran a pig for POTUS. What does that time have in common with this time? A disastrous Democrat POTUS in the White House.
