There is a problem with this photo from DENVER
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...
Two days old.
Care to check the weather?
Yup...media is manipulating you,
For the record I did have curmudgeon go at it locally, as expected, until I brought Dubya defacing it. But it just dawned on me. T-shirt weather...really.
We call that AstroTurf.

I must be dense or something.
I have no idea what scatterbrain nadin's saying here.

Yeah that one has me scratching my head too. :thatsright:

I think she is saying she sent a dog named mudgeon to report from Denver. The dog reported that Dubya was there and took its face.
She's in Son of Sam territory now.

Well, that's better than any "interpretation" I can think of.

Ohhhhhh so the media is manipulating the world with pictures from......... hell I don't know....old guy..... dancing cats.....fart breath.....
Big freaking deal I wear tshirts when it is 60 here, doesn't mean that I am a figment of your imagination.

DUmmie nads thinks a photo of protesters dancing on an American flag is faked because they are wearing short sleeves in 60 degree weather.
Two threads go together. (Frelling DUmmies can't make their point in the original thread, they have to start a new one and link to the thread they are talking about)
Nads Stooooopidity. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2258051)
The thread she doesn't like. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=2249771&mesg_id=2249771)

I was just about to post that thread. What's so funny about it was Nads original point was that the Denver picture wasn't real because of what they were wearing.

1. I'm up here in Fort Collins
And was wearing a T-shirt on Saturday. The sun was out. This is Colorado - it can be 20F at night and back up into the 50s by noon.
Not that the media wouldn't lie...

6. Yeah but most are wearing heavier.
That's the point. I could have given you a photo of guy with no shoes in the rain in sd. But the rest wore heavier clothes.

18. What I notice about the photo.....
Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 04:38 PM by Avalux
The flag on the ground (which doesn't look like an actual flag) has an anarchy sign spraypainted on the stars....
Independent of your post, I thought there was something off about the photo anyway; and was used by the media because of the 'flag'.

21. Bingo.
Yeah, that's it. You misunderstood me when I was talking about what they were wearing, I was talking about the symbol painted on the flag. :lmao:

There is a metric ton of batshit crazy in that thread.

31. You're right.
The Denver office of the FBI gets a flag from 1959, splatters it with paint and other symbols, and then hires a couple of dumb kids to dance on it. It's a brilliant plan in it's simplicity. Or a few overenthusiastic protesters go a little too far (Occam's razor). But I will yield to your expertise on yet another subject that only you have secret knowledge.
Glad that Mr Gerrity understands nads' meta-superiority, pity that he hasn't grasped Occam's meta-razor.

30. So you think things like contrielpro did not happen
And are just conspiracy?
Ok...
The word contrielpro threw me for a loop. After searching I'm assuming she meant COINTELPRO? The two words are very similar. Both start with 'C' and end with 'pro', and both contain letters.

47. I had to hear about this last night at work all night from..
the handful of Repubs I work with here in Denver. I was asked a half dozen times if I wanted to dance on the flag too.
Some of the DUmmies are mighty unhappy with the pic, they know it does them no good.
-
Newsflash, nads. This ain't Sandy Eggo. People don't go dashing for the parkas when it hits 65 like they do there.
It's been in the low 60's here the last few days, and were it the weekend, I'd be not only in a t-shirt, but (gasp!) SHORTS. Matter of fact, I see people up here all the time wearing shorts well into the 40's. I don't even bother with anything heavier than a light fleece or sweatshirt until we hit the mid- to low-20's. I wear thermal underwear maybe once or twice all winter, when it's -15 or lower with a windchill below -30.
Suck it up, nads--yes, they're dancing on the flag. Yes, you own this shit.
-
Yessssssss, the lead tainted water is having it's effect.

I must be dense or something.
I have no idea what scatterbrain nadin's saying here.
That was totally incomprehensible. Normally I can decipher the gist of her ravings, but that one is beyond decryption.

I think she's trying to tell a bouncy about how she disgraced a local rethug on the subject of flag etiquette by showing them this picture of GWB signing a flag.
Thats my best guess.

Partial credit there, I can't figure out the 'curmudgeon' part though. Typically I would assume she meant something entirely different, and picked a word or phrase that sounded more-or-less like the word or words normal humans would use, but I'm pumping a dry well on figuring out her word salad this time.
-
Nadin is referring to this:
It was their feeble attempt to accuse bush of flag Desecration.
-

Good way to put it, sir.
-
Nutcase nadin hasn't a clue on how awful a writer she is. She really thinks she sounds intelligent - on a meta level.
Months ago, we should have started an index of nadinisms; she's had some real beauties.
My favorite so far is when she was giving another warning about our imminent peril from the Fukushima nuclear plant.
She said radioactive particles were on their way across the Pacific from "Fiuki".
-
Fiuki? Well, Fyukyu!!!

I'll guarantee this is the first bit of the negative aspect of OWS that 95% of these people have seen.

Tea Party: 'Occupy' protesters are 'mad at the wrong people'
On the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement:
The “Occupy†protesters “are mad at the wrong people," says Cosgray. "We’re not mad at the bankers… The Tea Party is mad at our politicians, our government. They are the ones that changed our country. I’m not saying there’s not crony capitalism —there is. … The real problem here is coming right from the White House and our Congress.â€
Occupy protesters are “bizarre, very strange,†to Cosgray.
“I think (the Occupy movement) makes the Tea Party look a lot better. We’re not playing drums, masturbating on the street, or defecating on cars. I don’t think there’s anybody (out on the street) who is for American the way it was founded. They are like from another planet or something.
“The next time (Americans) see Tea Party groups holding a rally I think they’ll be, like, ‘Phew! Finally some people with common sense.’

We also don't push old ladies down the stairs, we don't throw blood and piss at hot dog vendors who quit handing out freebies, we don't make mom and pop shops lose business because we are blocking their stores off and scaring off decent people, and the list goes on.

We also respect public and private property, which means the parks close when the city says they do.
Anyone else should be arrested and fined for vagrancy.
