You may remember this clown from his post last week about opening his section 8 housing to the Owsies.
Now he claims to be a war hero too. Funny that all his online data never shows any military service.
I'm taking in some OWsies (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2237755#2237908)
F the troops (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2248649)

You know what? **** the troops! (from a vet)
There have been a swarm of "Support the Troops" posts today.
As a vet, I want to say "**** that"!
Every single vet serving today is a volunteer serving in an illegal war for oil. It has clearly been an illegal war for 10 years. I cannot condone or countenance active participation in this illegal war.
Every single person serving the US military today does so willingly.
While I understand the economic and social pressures that cause someone to enlist, I cannot approve of anyone who is basically a mercenary for the 1%.
I bleed with my brothers and sisters in uniform. I urge them to join the tide of history, and stand with the people and the constitution, rather than the owners and masters.
(and I hope they all come home safe)
I'm a 52-year-old decorated veteran. And yeah, I'm the 99%.
And I'm the King of England, Asshole! :loser:
-
Would the DNC approve of a post that says F the Troops? or would Obama and elected Democrats disassociate themselves from comments such as that? Would the American people approve of that message?
-
DUmmie said, "I'm a 52-year-old decorated veteran."
His "decorations" only show when he marches in a gay pride parade.
-

Maybe someone should forward it to them and ask.
-
These stolen valor clowns are all the same. None of them had the coglioni to join even the cub scouts. :loser:

10 years out, I finally, reluctantly, identify myself as a "Truther"...
Advertisements [?]
I'm not a "conspiracy theorist". My initial take on 9/11 was terrorism combined with massive intel failure and bureaucratic infighting. But dammit, too many things don't add up. I won't bore anyone (unless they ask) with facts and figures and tape.
But the shit they are selling just doesn't play.
There was too much prior FBI/CIA knowledge about the 15 Saudi's involved.
There were definite, concrete warnings delivered to the president.
There was the "coincidence" of an Air Force drill that day that left most of the east coast undefended.
There is the written proof that the PNAC (including Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rice and others) had wished for just exactly a "Pearl Harbor" incident like this.
There is the videotape of Israeli intelligence operatives celebrating seconds BEFORE the first plane hits.
And there is WTC7. There has never been a credible explanation for how/why it came down as it did.
This is, like it or not, the defining story of this generation. And I call bullshit. The story as presented simply does not play. Too many holes, too many inconsistencies. Too many lies.
I don't know what the "truth" is about 9/11. I might never know the "truth".
But I am convinced that we are not being told anything close to the truth. I am convinced that the "truth" is being hidden/buried.
So yeah. Call me a "Truther" because I ****ing want to know the truth.

Yeah he's a keeper.

The RNC should do a commercial featuring a whole bunch of threads over there.

2. I apologize for my cousin...
Yes, Greg Walden is a relative. And yes, I think he's a lock in the 2nd. I am truly, deeply sorry that I share DNA with that ass-hat. With the exception of Greg, ALL of my family and friends are somewhere between deep blue and traditional blue. My grandpa (who would be Greg's Uncle) was a union organizer in the 30's and 40's, (when that was a VERY dangerous job). Some of my earliest memories are from being on the picket lines with him in the 60's.
When he died, he made it a point that Greg's branch of the family was not invited to the funeral or memorial service.

How have we missed this guy before?

At our old home, Daveman had a bunch of DU quotes that he photoshopped onto pictures of billboards. They was really out there.

Actual Billboards like you see on highways?

Yes. He was pretty good with Photoshop and put out some good stuff. I tried to find backups of it, but it was lost long ago unless he still has them in his Photobucket account.

There isn't any oil in Afghanistan, you stupid ****wad. Or any other proven resources worth having, for that matter.

IIRC, they found rare earth metals last year. Not the same as gold or oil, but worth something.
-
Worth more than oil. Too hard right now to get out of the ground.
-
Oh, there is gold too, but like everything else in that shithole land, it's just not worth the cost and logistical effort to get it. That's what I meant by that 'Proven' qualifier.
-

I thought that the whole point of the war was to allow an oil pipeline to run from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan (spit) through Afghanistan to the ports in Pakistan. I read it on DU so it has to be true. :thatsright:

So our TiT wanna be was born in 1959. Yet he walked picket lines in the 60's with his grandpa? Feasible, but highly unlikely. 18 years old would make it 1977, the only chance for military service would be Grenada or Lebanon in the 80's. He'd be 31 for Gulf War I. 41 for Gulf War II. No war experiences that were "seared" into his memory, or we would have heard of him single handedly take Saddam and the Republican Guard out with a swiss army knife. I smell :bs:

If it were true, the fact would have surfaced years ago.
Remember that DUmmies democrats will not hesitate telling a lie if it helps promote their agenda.
-
Can someone please enlighten me on a few things?
1. If we went into Iraq for the oil why does the price of gas keep going up?
2. Why then haven't we invaded Canada, Mexico or Venezuela?
3. Why would we pay more in transport for a barrel of oil that comes from the ME rather than our own Northern and Southern borders?
Come on DUmmies you have all the answers.
Love,
A real vet

13. Honest answer: It was "later perspective" without a doubt...
when I enlisted it was peacetime, which made it easier. I DID at the time buy into the whole "Capitalism =good, Communism=bad vibe"
I was awarded two combat medals and two weapons medals. I don't fault ANYONE for being ignorant, 18, and in need of a job.
But if they re-up knowingly? **** 'em.

WTF does that even mean??? The tool is obviously talking about his bolo badges as 'Weapons medals,' but I would bet the rest means the NDSM and some other universally-awarded campaign or expeditionary medal. No way in Hell that anyone who ever earned a real individual service or valor award would call his bolo badges 'Medals.' Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if the faker was talking about the unit awards over the right pocket from WW2, Korea, or Viet Nam.

That's how I took it as well. When I entered Navy service, we were the one of the last last groups to receive the National Defense Ribbon. Since he is younger than me, I can't imagine what "medal" he might be referring to. And as to weapons medals, they could only be his marksmanship badges for maybe pistol, rifle, and grenade. What a wanker.

This "war for oil" thing is old and stale and obviously just a silly chant.
I haven't seen gasoline prices drop since January 20, 2009 down to where they'd be if we actually commandeered some of that oil.
Whatever we're doing, we're not getting any oil out of it.
-
Looks like this guy may be trying to make a late charge in the DOTY race. If that's the case it will be more entertainment for us all so more power to him.
-
Combat metals? I suppose he means campaign metals. If he had a CIB we would have said so. Weapons metals, no ducking clue. Marksmanship badge is the only thing I can think of, but the navy, I think, gives away a metal for shooting.

You left out Panama and HAti but hey the guys a loser. I was in during the same time as he claims and I call BS.

Grenade. (Everybody made expert in grenade)
Bolo badge for rifle platform.
I've noticed something about the *cough-cough* vets at DU. There have always been more support personnel than combat troops in any conflict. The ratio for support echelon (REMPS) to combat troops is about 3 to 1 and yet all DU vets are combat vets.
Humm!!!

Everyone on active duty and drilling Reservists during Gulf 1, and all active duty and mobilized Reservists since 9-11 have gotten it.

Okay. I was out in the mid 70's and didn't think they were giving that out after about 1974.
