What you can do short of sleeping in a park
Since Occupy Wall Street began, a lot of people I know have expressed interest in my involvement. I’ve been making suggestions about how people can get involved on their own terms, and I thought it seemed time for a public overview.
This list includes actions large and small that just about anyone, anywhere, can do to support the movement.
I consider this list to be alive, and wide open and available for edits, additions and suggestions. So comment below, on Facebook, mention @Averse2Ennui on Twitter, or get in touch if you have ideas for the list.
1. Understand the Movement

To me number one is essential, and until you do...
Another WTF moment.

I'm not going to sleep in a park because I have a home. If I am going to sleep outside, it will be for camping purposes only. And I am such a girly-girl, you will probably never find me sleeping in the woods. Too afraid of some masked murderer with a machete.

Yes, that scratching sound on the roof of your car is not a tree limb.

4. Well once coffee is ready...
I will write down a primer on the geneva convention and behavior of medical personnel in these messes. No, it has not reached the point where the red cross should be in the streets... (in the US)... and let's pray it does not... but they need pointers.
I already have one on symbols willing to give away...
Wasn't she suppose to write some other primer in the recent past?

About 100 people and quiet as can be.
Photos later.

Talking about the Red Cross in the streets and all they can muster is 100 dirtbags in a major California city.
God nadin,you are an idiot.

And a large majority of them are homeless folks looking for a free meal.

Close the lid on the "primer" nutbag.

In a later post she has a link to some pics, nothing but scum and vermin.

I think nadin is as drunk as a skunk tonight, she's spamming GD with all sorts of nonsense, from camera buying tips at Target to PSAs. She has lost it.

Uh, I wonder if nadin's not seeing something that's obvious to most others:
.....a lot of people I know have expressed interest in my involvement.....
A lot of people are curious as to what exactly nadin's doing for the Cause, other than posting on Skins's island.
That's what it is, and she doesn't see it. What's nadin doing for the Cause? Is she camping out, providing emergency medical services for the occupoopers, ladling out soup for them, or what?
We're all interested in knowing; in what way is nadin involved in the Cause, other than blabbing?

So far, her contribution has been to cut and paste updates from other websites. That is the extent of her involvement.
-
Unbeknownst to her, she's really, really, really going for Top Primitive of 2011. Her...um...wit, wisdom, and personality will forever be cemented for all those that wish to see it.
I can't wait! :-) :hyper:
I have a question though that you could maybe illuminate me on, Frank. Will $kinner ever DUmp her ass? Can she honestly, and truly ever go too far?
-
She's no Will Pitt... she probably couldn't threaten an aggressively abusive homeless woman and get away with it.
-
True. I don't think she could garner all the crying, pissing, and moaning the DUmmies gave the Top 3 to bring the Pitt Stain back. If so, only for the sheer comedic value.
-
Nutcase nadin isn't sleeping in a park. She's back in her crappy little condo, with that roaring San Diego freeway right outside her window.
She's just posting drunken tweets.
-
Once again I need to ask....WTF does the Geneva Convention have to do with any thing?
-

You know, Mineral Man's been very curious, very interested, in knowing of her involvement--what she's been doing herself--with the Cause, but it looks as if nadin has Mineral Man on "ignore."
Anyway.
I've seen people like nadin in real life, and right now, she's on the brink of a meltdown of some sort (one hopes it doesn't involve a machine gun and a crowd of people); her megalomania's getting to the bursting point.
Primitives have been paying her less and less attention--it shows--and the less attention they're giving her, the more frantic she is, causing her to increase postings of her seemingly Divine revelations and observations. It's becoming a vicious cycle now, nadin becoming more and more frenzied the less and less other primitives pay her any mind.
I upped the odds; the likelihood of the Taverner primitive cracking is still at 25-33 in 100, and the sparkling husband dude cracking still at 1-5 in 100, but nadin's now way over in the 67-75 in 100 range now.
She's going to crack.
Remember where you heard it first.
I hope her husband has the kitchen knives locked up.
It's the greenbriar primitive all over again, but this time it's sure to be even more spectacular.
I hope everybody enjoys the show.

Nadine has been hilarious, that's for sure. But you're right Frank, she probably will melt down very soon.

elocs recommends rotating people in and out, so protesters can get warm and have a hot meal.

5. This is where those who cannot be out demonstrating to help those who are by opening their homes to a few people once in awhile as needed.
What could possibly go wrong?
-
Oh good Lord. I would never.
I read yesterday some Riker's Island clients were heading to OWS to get freebies once they're released. Yeah, I want them in my home with my kids. :mental:

Kids would probably be safer with recently released Riker's inmates than with the regular OWS'ers.

I think the posting frenzy is part of her stretch drive for DOTY laurels.
I'll wager her posting frequency goes into a steep nosedive the day after Top DUmmy voting closes.

Geneva/Hague only applies to international armed conflict, you moron, not domestic disturbances.

If you do not control your raging temper, you will have another stroke or melt down soon also.

What did greenbriar do?
This is ancient history, but you weren't around at the time, sir.
Back in late November, early December, 2009, as nominations and voting on the Top Ten DUmmies of 2009 was going along nicely, no clear-cut winner in sight, the greenbriar primitive daily became more and more unhinged; she had been nominated for one of the top primitives, and at the same time she was "under assault" from a certain now-late primitive of prominence, for all the tall tales and lies she was telling.
I'm sure many here remember the black girl who allegedly told the greenbriar primitive she wanted to be her slave, for example.
Like a washing-machine out of control, the greenbriar primitive got more and more agitated, especially since this certain now-late primitive of prominence enjoyed a great deal of admiration and credibility among the other primitives, her challenges to the greenbriar primitive destroyed the greenbriar primitive's own credibility.
The more credibility the greenbriar primitive lost, the more frantic she became; bonkers, in fact.
And there occurred one of my major disagreements with my fellow alum Skins; the greenbriar primitive was obviously seriously disturbed and mentally-ill, and hanging around Skins's island wasn't helping her any. I thought that as an act of conscience and compassion, as a demonstration of social responsibility, Skins should've banned her, but he didn't. He just let her go on and on and on.
So much for this idea of Democrats "caring" about others, especially the vulnerable.
When the greenbriar primitive won the top award for 2009, she melted down, in an orgasm of explosions and hysteria and histrionics; it was a sight to see.
At the beginning of 2010, the greenbriar primitive ran away from Skins's island, and then came back under another screen-name, but it was obvious who she was. She lingered for a while, but now appears to have left permanently.
In real life--she pops up on the internet once in a while--well, in her real life, she's a mess.
She really belongs in a big building with small rooms and soft walls.

Now, Now. We can't have such minor trivialities as facts interfering with our nadin-umakasion.

You make it sound like the flop-house next to the El in "Blues Brothers."
I like that.

You know, I've never been to San Diego, much less California.
But given the apparent ease with which our members here in San Diego seem to get around that city, it seems to me it's not like the crowded congested places in blue states and blue cities.
Crazy nadin has lots and lots of time on her hands, while dear hubby is hauling in the bacon, and surely they're more than a one-vehicle couple. I don't know why she just doesn't hop in the car and go down to the occupied area, and do something concrete, rather than just talking about it.
One gets the impression crazy nadin is emulating Bronson Alcott of Brook Farm, her role being just to sit around and intellectualize while others do the real work.
-
Traffic in and around San Diego can be pretty bad, just depends on the time of day. Nadin claims that she used the trolley when she visited the occupiers last Thursday, I should have done the same as I had to spend $7 to park downtown.
