Title: Bikers Join Occupy Oakland
Post by: FreeBorn on October 28, 2011, 03:42:52 PM: I certainly didn't see this one coming. There are a few clubs around my redneck of the woods here, including the HAMC and the one thing that always stands out about biker clubs is how non political they are. If anything they lean decidedly to the right but overall politics just isn't their thing.
Bikers and hippies don't always hang together either, when they do it usually ends badly for the hippies.

From what the news reports said, they aren't too happy with the police right now because they feel there should have been more security at the last funeral. I wouldn't be surprised if they see this as way to start a row with the police...

Or it could be as simple as wanting to control the drug dealing. The idea of bikers supporting communism makes me :rotf:

That may be a factor, but more likely they are there to protect their drug franchise and find new customers.
