Title: I hate Obama
Post by: Gina on October 28, 2011, 02:36:41 PM
My health insurance is going up 31.42 a month.  I know it's not a lot and I have seen other's get worse but still.  I have been at this company since 2005 and it never went up until he started his crap. :bird:

not complaining but where I work, we have had 4 plans to choose from. one being a cadillac plan like whats supposed to get taxed extra with ObummerCare. its spendy but people still use it.

not next year, they dropped it as an option. lots of guys (obummer/obummercare supporters) are upset at my employer, blaming them.

How in the hell does that work?  I know most O'bama supporters are idiots and want to look past everything but can they not see the correlation?

Sucks to be you, Gina!

Obviously you voted for McCain. Didn't you get the memo?

If you had voted for THE ONE he would be paying your mortgage now, your car insurance, your health coverage would be absolutely FREE and he'd be picking up your student loans for you too.  :hyper:

they look at any change from the company is a way to **** the union. the funny thing was, only the union employees were offered this package. the office and management employees lost this option 6 years ago.
the big kicker is for retirees. here we have a special bonus. you can retire @ 55 and get your health insurance premiums paid in FULL, for you and your spouse until 65 (get medicare). so every retired person signed up for this cadilac plan since it didnt matter what the premium was. (it is way more than the typical plan)
so now all the retirees under 65 have to switch to a lesser plan with more yearly outta pocket expenses. thus nullifying the FREE insurance they were getting.

We have the cadillac plans also (union).  I pay $370 a month now for full family.  It pays 100% :hyper:

my daughter's hospital bill cost almost 200k because I was in the hospital for 2 months and then she was born early so all I paid was my premium and $15 for an office visit, so I guess I need to shut the **** up and be grateful :lmao:

well ours must be a 1987 eldorado because it costs 800/mo for family and its a 25 copay for each visit.

My company is switching from a self-paid (by my employer) PPO to an HMO...meaning we lose about 90% of our providers.  We'll each be assigned a primary care physician, but most of the HMO physicians are not accepting new patients and will not be required to accept any of the patients assigned to them.

I work 40 miles from where I live, and my town has NO HMO doctors, so once I find a physician that will take new patients and get my assignment changed... I'm going to be hauling my kids 40 miles to doctors.

The deductible on our new HMO is higher than our former deductible, and we have higher co-pays for every service.

In addition to all these "fun" changes, the premium I will pay will more than double.  But hey, it's an Obamacare approved healthcare plan, so it's all obviously good!!   ::) ::) :banghead:

We all knew it was coming.  Our plan was "grandfathered" for a while, but couldn't last for very long.  I'm not happy with the result, but I compared our plan to my husband's BCBS...we'd have to pay another $200 a month to get BCBS.  The co-pays are lower, but we aren't sick often enough for that to make it worth while.  I'm just really glad they said they'd cover ER services anywhere they're needed!!  I was really worried when it looked like our nearest ER was 40 miles away.  It's one thing to choose to live in the middle of nowhere and need to drive that far...it's something entirely different when you drive past 2 different ERs to get to the "right" one.   :-)

Good thing they passed the bill, or it would be worse. That's the spin anyway.

I am in healthcare, and I've been watching excessive government regulations drive up health care costs for years now.  Just like anything else the Fed wants...if they can't get it straight out, they regulated it to the point that taxpayers "demand" they take it over.  They drive up prices specifically to gain more power.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, however I really believe that the purpose of 0bamcare is to push costs up so high, and to create a need or a demand for the government to come help, then they can pass single payer with no fuss.

That is exactly what the Democrats claimed would happen when the bill was being debated.  It's just a start.  Once the government gets their foot in the door, they can keep pushing and pushing.

Indeed-the Dems want us to be totally and completely dependent on the federal government.
