On OWS and "leaders."
Ok, ok, I can't tell you the names, but I can tell you these encampments have leaders. If you are familiar with group dynamics and how they work you too will be able to spot them. It's not hard. But why haven't we seen a FORMAL organizational chart? Some of these kids have read history. They understand what has happened to leaders in past social revolutions. In time they will have to become a tad more formal.
It is also the system of leaderless resistance they have chosen.
In fact, this makes the movement, and it is growing, far more dangerous to an entrenched power elite.
So when you ask where are the leaders...go to your local occupy...I promise you, if you know anything about group dynamics...you too will be able to tell.
As to objectives...go to the occupy site in NYC and read their statement, voted by the General Assembly. The goals are there.
I wish her Red Cross truck would run out of gas and she would STFU.

And if you are familiar with anarchists, they oppose any type of heirarcy, whether it be on an organizational chart or whether they are simply "known" in the "group dynamics." They will undercut any leaders leaving any potential coherant message (the OWS General Assembly goals are a bunch of scatterbrained nonsense) to rot on the vine.

When I was in high school there was a lady who taught both my Physics and Chem 2 class. She is possibly the most intelligent and brilliant person that I've ever personally known. It got to the point that I would pour over old scientific books trying to find something to stump her. I would find the most insignificant item. Something the books would only mention in passing. I'd ask her about it, and she would not only know it, but she would know circumstances about it that the books in question didn't even mention. This was back years and years before the internet.
This teacher is what nadin tries so hard to present herself to be. Sadly, it isn't working.
Plus the teacher had common sense and was never arrogant or condescending. I hated Physics but would take it again in a heartbeat to be in that teacher's class.

You had Mrs. Watson too? Actually, I only had her for Chemistry. Physics was Mr. Bruns. Ah, taking me back.

This one was Mrs. Shaw. Her only quirk was that she was a huge Linus Pauling fan. I didn't have a problem with that. It just seemed to me that it was backwards. Linus Pauling should have been a Mrs. Shaw fan.
She did have a good sense of humor. I remember telling her that there was something wrong with her classroom door. She asked what I meant. I told her that by my estimation we had been in her class approximately 7 hours but according to the clock in the hallway (which I could see through the window in the door) only 30 minutes had passed. All I could figure is that her door was the portal to some sort of time flux and that time in the classroom was passing at a much slower rate than time outside of the classroom.
She laughed a genuine laugh then told me to sit down, shut up, and get back to work.

I am pretty sure that dumass here is her long lost brother. :rotf:

I don't care how many drums they bang or plates of spaghetti bolognese they serve or how many times they use their face as a backstop for beanbags, until they have not only a leadership structure and an agenda more specific than, "Yo, **** the rich, man!", but a financial base as well, they ain't influencing shit. Not politicians, not America, certainly not Wall Street. Oh, and it would help to have more than a few thousand circus clown lookalikes scattered across the USA to spread your message.
Cold weather will be here soon and the whole lot of well-fed urban cowboys will be scrambling back to college and/or mom 'n' dad's comfy split-level out in the landscaped hinterlands of The Movement. There they will declare victory and regale their stay-at-home peers with tales of derring-do against the Blue Meanies. nadinbrzybrzybrzy will proclaim it "the first step in an inexorable trend" that she of course predicted x number of years ago, write something unintelligible about "meta", and then it will pass from Hive memory. A Republican will transform The Annointed One into The Disappointed One next year and The Great Stolen Election Of '12 saga will begin, for hysteria always repeats itself with DUmmies. By Inauguration Day OWS will be the answer to a Trivial Pursuit: Moonbat Edition question.

Mine was Mr. Thomas.

I had Dr. Jones for Physics I, who was obsessed with the Kennedy assassination and the physics of the bullet.
