Title: Nutcase nadin Discovers The Real Reason Tokyo Was Bombed
Post by: GOBUCKS on October 23, 2011, 06:17:45 PM
At first, I didn't sign on to coach's theory on nutcase nadin's alcoholism. I'm beginning to think he's right. She has now discovered that the massive strategic bombing raids on Tokyo weren't strategic at all. They were massive tactical bombing raids conducted in an effort to kill Tokyo Rose!! Who knew?!? That sneaky bastard Curtis LeMay! Everyone thought these hundreds of B-29s were destroying the Japanese capital, when they were actually trying to plunk an incendiary on the head of Tokyo Rose! Another nadin discovery.

On the death of al-Awlaki
Ok dad...not nice but there are reams upon reams upon reams of evidence that he was working against the us. There s no disputing that and the targeting has precedent, while not successful. During WW II Tokyo Rose was targeted during the massive bombings of Tokyo. We never got her and after the war she was tried and convicted. There was plenty of evidence against her in radio transmissions to the troops. Here there are reams of video, and a convincing case can be made that he was somewhat successful.

Where we enter a non precedent legal quagmire is the targetting of the son. If the kid was in the same vehicle with dad...well the collateral damage comes in, like the tens of thousands of Japanese. (Tokyo Rose was the best known precedent but they are others, usually falling under the spy threshold, going all the way to the civil war). The son though was not in the same vehicle. He was not gotten in the same day either. But he was hanging out with AQ we are told. Strangely the government is webby, webby quiet. If this was the case...see line about collateral damage.

In the best of cases (legally) that's what happened, but the silence says there might be legal jeopardy. Translation...he was NOT hanging with AQ, opening the window...for yes a wrongful death lawsuit. Oh and just because you are related to a pretty bad person does not mean we can execute you.

Now his dad...there is real precedent...but this...there is not...and their silence speaks volumes.

The rest of it makes no sense at all, but at least we get a "webby, webby" good nadinism in the bargain.

2. That is why a lawsuit is in the works
Indeed.

Oh and I will edit to add... It's easy to speak of collateral damage from the comfort of your couch. Some of us have actually dealt with this messiness in person.
Here s a reality you are not aware off...these tactics are most likely creating further blowback. Yes, it is the culture. Oh and good luck defeating a tactic...that is what we are fighting.

Draining the swams ain't gonna happen this way. Oh and this will churn your tummy I am positive but this war will end Te same way they always do...around a table.

"Draining the swams"? I doubt anyone remembers Ish Kabibble, but:
"Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool
Swam three little fishies and a mama fishie too
"Swim" said the mama fishie, "Swim if you can"
And they swam and they swam all over the dam
Boop boop dit-tem dat-tem what-tem Chu!
Boop boop dit-tem dat-tem what-tem Chu!
Boop boop dit-tem dat-tem what-tem Chu!
And they swam and they swam all over the dam"
Draining the swams.

Our favorite nutcase has obviously nadined "meta". It's her word of the week, and she apparently thinks she knows what it means:

5. As I said this will probably end in court
And on a meta level long term we are not doing ourselves any favors.

Not tat many will get it here...that Arab spring is doing far more, so far, against AQ than these strikes. Potentially the end of AQ lies not in bombs but in jobs. Alas that is quite a bit f the anger currently. For example Yemen gets a few jobs going the recruit pool will go down. Alas this was suggested early on, with police activity...there is no money in schools and factories. That s way too meta.

This will end up in court. I guess those lawyers trying to iron out the constitutional issues are working fr AQ though...

"Way too meta"? I give up.

8. Yup, and we also used child soldiers in the past
And child soldiers are used today in Africa, and we're used in CA...like oh the Contras we funded. I recal there are ways around this... But it is more profitable to use brute force always.

How did child soldiers enter the discussion?

Under global norms. I guess this o's hard to understand.

I mean for Pete's sake people did legally marry at fourteen in ancient times.

18. That kid is Yemeni. He's lived there since he was five. His father
turned his back on the US, and raised that kid to hate the place of his birth.

That said, I do not believe (and the operative word here is "believe"--because I do not claim to have special knowledge of what took place) that the US targeted this kid.

Who knew? No more anchor babies....woowhoo!
You don't need an anchor baby if you can find a desperate submariner.

Those "hippies" at OWS are one way to fight this. Today o'er tree. Tomorrow....neuromancer and 1984 are starting to look like prophecy.

I have not a single clue what this post means.

Yep, nadin's drunk again.

If she were drunk, the misspellings would be legion.  I think she's on magic mushrooms, myself (just a shot in the dark).

She is completely deranged.  I motion that we remove her from consideration for DOTY, as celebrity status will only enable her to find new ways to one-up herself.

I still think it's her ipad auto-correct feature that is doing her in.  She could proofread before hitting post, but I'm sure that that is beneath her.

I'm always at odds-and-ends about that, what celebrity status does to a top primitive.

On one hand, the Bostonian Drunkard, despite having been given the distinguished award many years ago, continues to flourish on Skins's island (although admittedly not as much as he used to; his best years have been behind him for some time now).

On the other hand, nearly all of the other top primitives from past years, upon being bestowed, seem to have either disappeared altogether from Skins's island, or are less, uh, prominent there than they used to be.

I dunno what's up with that; probably just a coincidence.

I think it would be useful, to find out how a primitive of nadin's nature and ego reacts to the award, but that's for my own selfish reasons (anthropological research and illumination).

That still wouldn't help her over use them favorite words of hers. And yes...I'm talking about the over use of oh words like oh.

Derangement is the most important prerequisite for a Top DUmmy hopeful.

I can only hope that she would stop posting her nonsense and somehow get on with her worthless existence if she were to win, but that's crazy talk.  She'd wear it like a badge of honor and just ratchet up the crazy.
I was just looking at last years DOTY nominees, I don't want to sound like prophet nadin, but guess who was the first CC member to mention her as a contender?  That's right, I saw the nadin juggernaut coming, it's not something that I am proud of.

How well I remember that.

Up until December 2010, nadin had been one of the lesser-prominent primitives.  We knew her, or of her, but didn't pay much attention, and nadin herself wasn't building campfires then, like she has the past eleven months.

But once you nominated her, all Hell broke loose.

There was only like, about a couple of weeks left, and she made up for lost time.  I'm sure there's times she outposted even Doug's stupid ex-wife, she was so anxious to get the award.

Despite it being a tremendous effort, alas for nadin, she was too little too late.

Well, she immediately started working on the award for 2011 with the same intense passion, and I thought for sure she'd be all burned out by March, or June at the latest.

Man, was I wrong.

Two things to remember about nadin: unlike nearly all the other primitives, she's not a rock when it comes to intelligence, and she likes playing games.  I have no doubt she's trying to play with us as much as we're playing with her.

However, nadin's going to be sorry to hear a certain something, and it might affect her performance.

I haven't cleared it yet with my colleague Mr. Wiggum, but probably there's a new rule for the top primitives; one can be a top primitive only one time, after which no more (primitives #02-10 not counted).

That this is her last chance, her final chance, for fame--well, from the anthropological perspective, it would be interesting to see how she handles it.  If she gets the award this year, that's it.  No more.

I disagree, Jake--let her stay.  Nobody, and I mean NOBODY at the Island of Skin's Misfit Mental Midgets has ever been able to repeat as DOTY.

Not even close.  The pressure is just too great, the effort required to repeat just too much for mere mortals.  They flash across the sky like a bright meteor, but burn out too quickly, leaving nothing but dust.

Well, that's my thought concerning this new rule, no repeat.

If she wins it, she's likely to flare out, because she has no more raison d'etre, no purpose in life, because she's won something she could win only once.

And given no more motivation, her performance is inevitably doomed to decline.

TomInTib could have won more terms than FDR, but flamed out.
It was tragic.
His domination of the Top DUmmy competition was unmatched, until now.

Well, here's where you're so wrong, coach.

If there's one thing I've learned from the brilliant socio-economic theorists infesting the DUmp, it is that there is absolutely no possible correlation between incentives, be they negative or positive, and actual performance.

I suppose the next thing you'll be telling us is that raising taxes in a recession will actually slow job creation!!!

People rob banks 'Because that's where the money is.'  We bombed Tokyo (And almost every other major city in the Home Islands) for roughly-similar reasons.

Here is the problem with the war on terror
Edited on Mon Oct-24-11 02:21 PM by nadinbrzezinski
It might give you a warm and fuzzy every time a terrorist dies. Alas that is fighting a tactic and in the long run not the best one. Strategy needs to be involved in this. Why are pretty well educated middle class kids joining and getting radicalized? For the same reason they took to the streets this spring. So at a strategic level et's wish these revolutions success in creating jobs...well paying would be preferable...

But this fighting tactics ain't the best strategy.

And I find it ridiculous that even at this late hour this needs pointing out.
