Title: I should have been a professor!
Post by: StealingTime122 on October 19, 2011, 05:53:33 PM
Here's a database that keeps track of college professors yearly salary in Florida....

You know what the sickening part about this is? Florida is on the low side of the spectrum in terms of salaries...

Yeah, but you should see the price tag I've paid for the education from that school.  Well, you probably know... :cheersmate:

I have met a few over the years that have done things like brown-water Navy in RVN, worked up from a job on an auto assembly line, raised five kids on a teacher's pay and then moved up, got out of Hungary one step ahead of the Red Army in 1956, etc.  Almost all of 'em nowadays have never stepped out of the ivory tower their whole lives, though.

WI has had professor's salaries in the news lately too. The outrage is not what they make (which is high) but the fact some of them retired, are now collecting a full pension and have been hired back by the institution they retired from at their old salary.
