"No poor person ever gave me a job"
That statement is one that the “right-wing” always throws out when confronted with the failure of “trickle-down” tax-cuts for the wealthy. My sister-in-law, who has had her brain turned to mush from inhaling too many fumes from Limbaugh’s waste-hole, threw this at me the other day. I responded; “and a poor person has never fired me and then drained my pension plan”.
It shut her up and it caused me to try to come up with some more arguments to counter the “No poor person ever gave me a job” crap.

- No poor person ever charged me a $5 fee for the pleasure of holding my money.

Would that it only cost me $5 a month. I pay thousands a year to buy food stamps for lard asses.

Quote
- No poor person ever denied me medical care because I had a pre-existing condition.

But they do drugs and contract social diseases and then demand I pay for their care.

Quote
- No poor person ever foreclosed on my house.

They demand Section 8 housing and if I can't meet the tax burden I lose my house.

Quote
- No poor person ever shipped my neighbor’s job overseas.

Maybe if he had a job of his own.

Quote
- No poor person ever tripled my interest rate because I missed one payment.

Maybe he's poor because he reneged on his promise to repay the money he borrowed on a promise.

Quote
- No rich person ever "gave" me a job either...I got it because my labor had value.

If you're so ****ing valuable why are there still poor people? Shouldn't you be doing more for those who have less?

Quote
And like Elizabeth Warren said; “no rich person got rich without the society and infrastructure we all helped to build”.

The infrastructure that never could exist unless people with money paid for it. After all, somebody has to make the payroll for all those public workers.

“and a poor person has never fired me and then drained my pension plan”.

That's because 1) poor people usually aren't in firing/hiring positions, and 2) pension plans were a horrible socialistic idea to begin with.  Having an account with your name on it that nobody can touch or modify is the way to go.

Your arguments are all worthless.  The only argument that would counter the "No poor person ever gave me a job" phrase would begin with "(Insert Name Here) gave me a job, and they don't have a penny to their name."  Anything other than that as an answer is just trying to rationalize (to the point libs can do anything rationally) in order to avoid the truth.

All of your feel-good responses (aren't they all?) does not negate the fact that no poor person would have ever been in a position, nor had the power to do any of the things (atrocities?) that you mentioned.

A rich person never broke into my garage and stole my hand tools.

A rich person never puked on the sidewalk in front of my business.

I think what shut her up was your utter stupidity!

I've never had anyone deny me medical care. So far I haven't met any poor doctors to test the theory that a poor person wouldn't deny me medical care.
