Title: DUmmie picks a side in a sword and gun fight

A very, very small campfire, that only three DUmmies decided to huddle around.  I threw it in the boat, just for the one response from DUmmie Aristus, which is quite possibly one of the stupidest things I've read out of the DUmp in ages:

Original message
"Why don't I just shoot the ****er?"

The defining Indiana Jones moment came about almost by accident. It was six in the morning and an exhausted, dysentery-ridden, Harrison Ford couldn't face another fight. Spielberg had lined up a sadistic, foreign, sword-twirling maniac to confront him. Ford, who hadn't once unholstered his gun in the whole film, simply said to Spielberg: "Why don't I just shoot the ****er?" That was the moment when Indiana Jones arrived...

2. Sadistic swordsman? I don't see that.

I hooted at that scene when I was a kid. How cool! But when I grew up, all I could think about was that the swordsman had trained his whole life, honed a very fine skill, was probably respected and even revered in his community, then then some putz comes along and shoots him. No skill involved, no training, no effort.

That's probably why the NRA's membership rolls are always filled. Any lame pudknocker can fire a gun.

And the scene above showed no sadism on the part of the swordsman.
  :thatsright:

 :whatever:

Guess the DUmmie should sign up for some competition shooting.  He could get off welfare really quickly and become a star!

The reason the scene was shot that way (excuse the unavoidable bad pun) was because Ford had the runs really bad, and couldn't stay out of the restroom for more than a few minutes at a time. It was originally supposed be an elaborate whip vs scimitar fight.

When I saw it when I was 11 every one clapped and cheered. ( I swear this is not a bouncy  :naughty:)

It became a classic moment in movies. Tho I do kind of wonder how the original scene would have looked.

Some people should be childless.

All DUmmies need to be.

That's the way I read it years ago. It was completely improvised.

Very revealing bias from DUmmieland.
Yes anyone can shoot a gun. Its the great equalizer.
An otherwise defenseless woman can defend herself against an attacker.
Owning a gun is freedom from bullies like the swordsman.

Sure anyone can own and use a gun, that's the point. YET. who owns guns and who fears guns.
Why do the progressives want to disarm the law abiding only to leave us at the mercy of the criminal?

Because progressives cannot have their dictatorship and purge/murder those they disagree with if there is an armed populace. Socialists cannot do what they want when the people can resist them.

Exactly.  If we look back at history, it is abundantly clear that morality and skill are completely unrelated, and those with the strength and skill to apply force dominated everyone else and organized their societies to benefit themselves and their heirs.  Modern egalitarian societies are very much the product of the development of egalitarian weapons.

We are working on birth control weed here at the VRWC labs right now. We would hand it out free to all the primitives and should hopefully have the problem under control within the next few years.

The great part is that they'll willingly take it, even knowing the effects, and the STDs will get them off the welfare rolls long before their natural life expectancies run their course.

So far it seems to be working on the cockroaches that we have been testing it on.

True - I was 14 or 15 and the same thing happened at the theater I saw it at.  I can't believe they're picking this apart, is life so empty that this is what they're reduced to?

Wow!!  I didn't know Teh Rove had approved it for testing on DUmmies already.  Things sure move fast here in the VRWC.  :lmao:

First, IT'S A MOVIE.  Second, were it real life, that is probably the same guy that beheads children for missing the morning prayer.

Yep, most every pudknocker can fire one, but not everyone can hit where they are aiming.

Why do the progressives want to disarm the law abiding only to leave us at the mercy of the criminal?

I have three theories for this:

1) Liberals are contrary by nature. Up is down, black is white, we've always been at war with Eurasia, leftwingers fail upwards in leftwing circles. Taking guns from law abiding citizens is, of course, exactly the wrong thing to do logically speaking in a world where you sometimes have to defend yourself.

2) Liberals are control freaks by nature, and the unintended consequences don't matter at all when a leftwinger is feeling the thrill and exhilaration of forcing others to do and abide by things they don't want to. The most thrill for the lefty control freak is taking constitutional rights from others.

3) Deep down, elite liberals know that their policies eventually drive people past the breaking point where the tree of liberty needs watering. Taking the guns away makes this more difficult.

LOL and didn't the "community" cheer when he dropped and steal his sword?
