Not long ago I posted a thread he started blasting "shovel-ready jobs" as a scheme that had no chance of success because labor is not fungible. You can't pick people from one vocation and drop them in to another, i.e. turning home-builders into bridge-builders.
Now this.

I'm looking for it.
It was in somebody's sigline but I haven't seen it for a week or two. Either the guy changed it, or he's not posted in a while.
anybody know where I can find it?
So absolutely lacking in the basics of economics it's embarrassing to admit a US president said it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks along this line. Obozo keeps talking about how his proposed infrastructrure rebuilding projects will put millions of people to work, but how many of the millions of unemployed people have skills in the construction trade? I realize there are supporting industries for any major construction project, but the majority of the work on his so called rebuild America work needs to be done by skilled construction workers. How many of those college educated OWS pukes who feel they are owed a cushy high paying job right out of college would be willing to pick up a shovel and break a sweat if a construction job came their way? And as for construction work in Southern California, the illegal aliens have that job segment locked up, so I doubt any major projects in this region would put very many legal US citizens to work.

Think Chinese coolie labor moving dirt one straw hat full at a time to build 8 lane highways through the mountains that they will never drive on because they can't afford a bicycle much less a car.
