Help out the Democrats... Should they come out in support of the OWS??

It seems like the Republicans are trying to co-opt the movement but I don't see a lot of success. They are scared to death that this will turn into a Democratic voting bloc.

The Democrats are cautious. They remember 1968 and the Democratic Convention and Chicago. Many still believe those demonstrations lost the election for the Democrats and won it for Richard Nixon.

But just how cautious should they be? The occupiers do not want the support of the Democratic or the Republican Party. However, that does not mean that individual Democrats cannot come out and support the movement. They do not speak for the Democratic Party at large. I think more Democrats need to speak out on an individual basis in support of the occupiers.

What is your opinion?

Please please i hope they all show up.

The Owies are a voting bloc, they have and are going to vote for Democrats, the people you need, the Independents, they aren't supporting you at all, and if anything you're going to turn them off.

What are you blabbering about, you retard?  They're already using it to raise campaign funds.  Get with the program.

Say what now? That almost made me spill my unicorn milk from my goblet made from lunar gold. Excuse me, my roasted dodo is getting cold.

It's a common mistake to confuse co-opt with laugh at, if you are stoned out of your mind.  :-)

That's what I want to know.  The only politicians I have seen within smelling distance of the filthy hippies have been the über-leftists, and even those haven't actually been greeted with open arms:

What?!?  These OWSers have obvioulsy thrown in with the political left, the closest viable party being the Dems.  The one major conspicuous observation of the whole event is the lack of blame directed towards Dear Leader.  If Bush was still in office, is there any doubt there would be "Hate Bush" posters plastered everywhere?  They're killing their own own message by not equally attacking both Dems and Republicans.

They start an all out front against Dear Leader and it would alleviate some of the correct criticism they've received about being partisian.  Until I see that, and knowing how they would be reacting differently with a R in office, then the claim of not wanting support from the Dems is inaccurate.

16. Same page.

Let some few like, say... Alan Grayson, get behind the movement and watch their numbers soar. If they work toward what we all need, then they can expect a solid and nigh-permanent block of support.

Alan Grayson holds no office, dumbass.  He's back to being just a shyster lawyer.

I know, I keep thinking about that.  I just know they're smoking in there!  And how much sodium does that donated pizza contain?  What about trans-fats?  Anybody smuggle those in?  This cannot stand!
