Occupy Wall Street... mansions   Updated at 8:36 PM

http://money.cnn.com/2011/10/10/news/economy/occupy_wal... /

Occupy Wall Street is on the move ... uptown.

(snip)
Organizers are planning a march on Tuesday that will visit the homes of JP Morgan Chase (JPM, Fortune 500) CEO Jamie Dimon, billionaire David Koch, hedge fund honcho John Paulson, Howard Milstein, and News Corp (NWSA, Fortune 500) CEO Rupert Murdoch.

The millionaires and billionaires are being targeted for what event organizers called a "willingness to hoard wealth at the expense of the 99%."

(snip)
Tuesday's march -- organized by UnitedNY, the Strong Economy for All Coalition, the Working Families Party and New York Communities for Change -- will cover quite a bit of ground if successful.

So they are going to go to people's homes and harass them.
Remember when the Tea Party did this?
I don't either, and they had the nerve to call us terrorists.  :mental:

When are they going to protest Kayan West? Oh I forgot, he is one of the protesters now so he can keep his millions. You losers are hypocrites. With people like George Soros, Michael Moore or insert any "Hollywood asshole" here, you look the other way.

As long as they advocate that other rich people have to pay more, then they get a pass.

DU, thy name is double standard!!! :banghead:

Uh huh.

And omitting the famous people's mansions, think of the mansions even on lowly Skins's island.

You've got the kpete primitive's place, the CalPig primitive's place, the BeHereNow primitive's place, Atman's two places, the tularetom primitive's place, the sparkling husband dude's place, the 0bamaite FrenchieCat's place, the 0bamaite ProSense's place, the carpetbagging maternal ancestress of the Bostonian Drunkard's place, &c., &c., &c.  Opulent Streisandian luxury, their places.

There's lots of primitives who live in pretty fancy places, compared with the more-humble abodes of decent and civilized people.

Please do that, you'll alienate even more people!

Terrorizing people in their private homes is never a good idea. It makes the protestors look like thugs.
But logic and consequences have always escaped the DUmmies.

If they do this I suggest liberal homes are open game too. Michael Moore is one such character. I imagine he would squeal like a pig if that happened.

NY is a Castle Doctrine state.

11. Why are they skipping the George Soros mansion in NY?
This is the $9.8M property of the financial speculator, stock investor George Soros-
Geez, get a load of THIS place - nice spread

Virtually ignored, except for one guy who said, "oh, it's not that big."

Not one person on the thread pondered unintended consequences.

You know, studying the DUmmies has trained me to consciously think of unintended consequences.  Think long and hard, think it through.  It has made me a better businesswoman.  Thanks, DUmmies!   :bigbird:

It makes the protestors look like thugs.

"And not for nothin'," to apply a local NYC idiom.

Is the self pity bus tour going to stop by nancy pelosi's mansion?  According to this article, she qualifies as a 1%er...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s husband, a real estate developer and investment banker, stands to make millions of dollars in a previously undisclosed residential real estate project in California as a partner with the father of a woman Mrs. Pelosi helped become ambassador to Hungary, records show. (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/oct/10/pelosis-disclosure-belated-in-husbands-land-deal/)

she and her husband are making millions on a "greedy" real estate deal under what appears to be  quid pro quo terms.  Just the type of "shady" dealings the 99%ers accuse successful people of doing all the time.

How many 99%ers have been screwed by this land grab by the pelosi gang and their croony pals?

She's the worst, and she never gets called out for it.  Even the non-union labor at the vinyards!  I remember once, a DUmmie started bitching about her and her vast greedy wealth.  The DUmmie was shouted down for "attacking a loyal democrat."

I'm pretty sure that's a bannable offense now if it wasn't already.  Just wait until DU3.  There will probably be rules about the rules then.

I think that's what liberals call "progress".

Other places worth occupying:

The EPA - let's see some actual, empirically-derived, testable science behind some of these regulations

The IRS - political donors skate so the difference is extorted out of decent people

Food Stamp offices -  If you're overweight, get the **** out!

The halls of academia -  $30,000/year for this shit?

teachers unions - your license to bitch has been revoked

Pelosi's office - let's talk about all those government loan guarantees going to your kin

Harry Reid's office - ditto

Allen West's office - actually I just want to have a beer with the good congressman

A good post by umbluegray at mt.org:

This is a result of the power shifting from the middle class to the 1%.  The middle class is what kept this country on top.

http://ncaabbs.com/showthread.php?tid=478520

If power has indeed shifted from the middle class to the 1% we can thank the following:

  • Unions - destroyed employment conditions in this country and caused jobs to move overseas
  • Government - destroyed business conditions in this country and caused jobs to move overseas
  • Public Education - controlled by unions and government, destroyed educational achievement of millions of Americans over the past 50 years resulting in a poorly education labor force that caused jobs to move overseas.

And the people protesting are too ignorant to see that it is the unions and government that are pushing these demonstrations in an attempt to grab more power so they can continue their path of destruction.

I started to read that line and thought WTF, until I saw the punchline.  :-)
