Omaha Steve is buying into an NFL team (I won't forget where I come from)

In 97 my nieghbor across the street that was also a Packer fan bought a share. I couldn't afford it then. I'm a life long Packer fan. My maternal grandfather lived 2 houses away from ours. He loved the Pack. That is where I get it from.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Cheeseheads around the world might soon have a chance to own a piece of the Super Bowl champs.

The Green Bay Packers, the NFL's only publicly owned team, are moving toward a new stock sale by the end of the year to raise money that would help pay for $130 million in renovations at historic Lambeau Field.

Each share would likely cost about $200 and include voting rights, though the value wouldn't appreciate and there would be no dividends. Stockholders would be able to attend annual meetings at Lambeau, and they'd enjoy such perks as tours of the playing field and locker rooms.

Best of all, they could legitimately call themselves NFL owners.

FULL story at link.

Using your campaign money from mom again Steve?  :whatever:

Oh my.

Omaha's Ed Norton of course knows that the Kansas City Chiefs are Omaha's and Nebraska's team; he's just trying to appear "distinctive" from the rest of us, to stand out in the crowd.

The elections are only 13 months away; one wishes Omaha Steve would get going on tellling us what he's going to do for the people of Bellevue, how he's going to improve their standard of living by lowering taxes and lessening governmental obstruction of their activities, rather than talking about sports.

This is the guy who was whining for someone to give him free tickets, requiring only that they be on an aisle.

Now he's buying stock in the team.

Once again, a DUmmy displays something other than complete honesty.

But I can't fault him for not being a Chiefs fan.

Think I'll buy me a football team

Note for Frank that is lyrics from a song by Pink Floyd called Money.

Well, but this was the more-important half of my comment, sir:

It's time for Omaha Steve to put away the little things and get going on the big things.

The people want to know this stuff.

I don't think he's filed yet; just announced he's running, and then suddenly grew mum, quiet as a church-mouse.

He can't file until December.  He missed the early filing date.

He even went back to the Toyota dealership and apologized like the big flaming ***** he is.  I guess that would be a little embarrassing, a local moonbat explodes at some car salesman during a sidewalk sale then tries to run for office.

It's not very often that you see someone refer to themselves in the 3rd person on an internet message board.  Steve sure is special.

He's just emulating, imitating, franksolich.

A lot of primitives end up doing that.  I've never been sure whether I should feel flattered or not.

I have a thought. For those of us that can afford it ,we should buy enough stock to cancel out O-ring Steve's vote and ownership in the team.

Imagine OS walking into a shareholders meeting wearing his tight dirty T shirt after getting his tour and freebies, crying like a bitch because someone he thought he heard offended him and he took it as bullying.   :rotf:

Someone should tell him weepy women aren't allowed on locker room tours.   :lmao:
