This is a thousand times bigger and stronger than the Tea Party. Updated at 4:44 PM
Politicians should be very afraid.
All those that sold out the people for their big corporate donations are at risk, no matter what their Party affiliation. This is not a Democratic or Republican movement. This is a People movement.
The Tea Party was an instinctual Party that knew something was wrong. But they didn't know what it was and they were soon captured and taken over by the corporate Republican Party. But these folks know what is wrong and they will not be a servant to any political Party.
If a Third Party is born from this movement, it will be very, very strong. It is almost inevitable. The change will come from either political or violent means. It is my opinion that it will not be violent. These are people of peace.
It is a reason for hope. These are mostly young people. They are a new generation. They are changing the world before our eyes. Power does not surrender voluntarily. But they will be defeated.
It is a time for celebration. I stand with the Occupation.

Oh please this whole OWS is nothing but an extended mosh pit. By Christmas everyone but you loons will have forgotten all about it, and next Nov when the Dems lose big you will be whining just like you did in WI when you goons thought the GOP was going to lose every recall election.

1. I'm with OWS and I hope something new comes of this, I'm tired of
feeling used.
How exactly are you feeling used? If anyone is being used it is the taxpayer who gets used as a political pawn every 4 years where your politicians promise their base more goodies funded by the taxpayers.

2. The Tea Party is a corporate construct - a fabrication - a false party.
Edited on Mon Oct-10-11 04:50 PM by Avalux
OWS is the antithesis of the Tea Party. The movement has organically grown and will continue to grow...I will do everything I can to support it.
You are partially right you are the polar opposite of the Tea Party, most of you are allergic to work, most of us have jobs, you want more and more freebies, we just want to keep what we work for, you piss and shit in the streets, we clean up after ourselves, your group attracts young druggies hoping to score free food and cheap weed, our group is family friendly. Yet somehow we are the terrorists yet you goons shitting on cop cars are some wonderful movement that Pelosi says "God bless you" too. :mental:
And this bullshit that we are somehow astroturf is a total lie.

4. The difference to me is that the Tea Party wanted to go back to...
a time that never existed and OWS wants something new.
:mental: Just what new ideas does this mob have anyway? It's the same old crap that libs have been whining about for years, not enough freebies.

5. The OWS movement should hit up the Koch Brothers for a donation
After all, the ones who funded the Tea Party have stated that we should admire the "grass roots" aspect of American citizens protesting the way the original colonists protested by dumping tea into Boston Harbor. And the new Tea Party originally came about because of the dissatisfaction over the Wall Street bailout. The occupiers on Wall Street should invite the Koch Brothers to give them a few million dollars. Any day now, I'm sure David Koch will be cutting a fat check to fund the type of grass roots citizen and populist movement he claims to admire.
I'm sure that your movement has had plenty of help from Soros.

7. expect the ows protests to get bigger once the super committee
comes out with the new cuts....it won't be the big guys getting cut...it will be the 99%
When freebies get cut, the leeches usually hit the streets, we have seen that in Greece, and England.

10. You could be right... Updated at 4:44 PM
It is an arrogant bunch of elitists that think the people aren't watching...
Oh we are watching and people will recall how 0bama and Pelosi praised your moonbat jamboree then vote Dems out of office in droves.
Poor deluded fools think that this temper tantrum is going to make a difference.
-
After the first couple of weeks with Guy Fawkes and Marxists dominating the Twitter feed, OWS is now claiming to be a non-partisan movement.
But, even when reasonable discussions have broken out, when the OWSer cannot answer a question, suddenly, I am spouting Fox News talking points.
They are so freaking stupid.
-
I hope a third party is formed from this. The Dems could do better by America if these freaks would leave that party and find their own little hole to crawl in.

Whatever.

It most certainly is not more organized at the very least. OWS can't even agree on a platform...it's the usual leftist shit...I smattering together of loosely tied unrelated LITTLE groups who all have different agendas but just agree(sort of) one what they decide to hate for the moment. They have nothing in common so even if they eliminated what they hate, they couldn't agree on what they would want in its place. THAT reason alone is why your side has no business making decisions in real grown up settings.

"And we really mean it this time!"
Whatever.
It looks to me as if the blueglass primitive, having fallen behind, is now catching up with the Taverner primitive in the hotly-contested race for #02 Top DUmmie of 2011.
I was getting worried, because I didn't want the most hotly-contested race for Top DUmmies to slip down to #03 Top DUmmie of 2011, or even further.
This ephemeral movement isn't even one ten-thousandth the size of the Tea Party; the bluegrass primitive is equating noise and smell with numbers and power.
-
Lurking DUmbasses,I know you wont listen but here is a little lesson of reality for you.
You are more idiotic then even we here fathomed if you think a few hundred mewling dirtbags comprise a political movement.
Want to guess why your politburo members O,Pelosi and others are throwing you a bone?
They know full well that you are nothing more then a bunch of yammering infants that can`t come up with a coherent answer to being asked what day of the week it is.
They can tell you how much they support you while laughing at the fact they are responding to demands no one,not even yourselves believe ever will be so.
Guess what fools, they are what always arises when your mindless utopian dreams of Marxisim come face to face with the reality of human nature.
A political power class fills the vacuum and you useful idiots are suddenly not quite so amusing and quaint anymore.
An unpleasant future at that point awaits.
This is history, recorded everywhere it has been attempted and yet you inane cretins somehow think "oh no,not this time and not to me".
Idiots.
-
If DUmmie RKPnumbers is "tired of feeling used" then perhaps he should look no further than his professors who are making a useful idiot of him in lieu of providing him with a meaningful education while they charge $300 for self authored text books, drive $40K vehicles, live in $500K homes on Ivy Lane and spend four months of the year on the cape. Just sayin'...
-
There is so much I could say to dispute these morons trying to compare OWS to the Tea Party, but, instead I will just give them a little nugget of Tea Party activism to chew on. You mock that attendance at our rallies have declined. That is very true. But, it's because we decided to be more in the trenches. We are now precinct captains, school board members, and city council members. Even in my blue, blue town, we had a 100% turnover to all Republicans in our local elections in 2010. And if you thought 2010 was a bad wave for the Democrats, hang on to your hats because 2012 is going to be a tsunami. So, you precious little Marxists, keep idolizing your OWS protesters and join them in the streets. Meanwhile we are in training on how to take over the next level of political offices.

I am considering the same strategy I employed last year. The current top DUmmy has a solid lead with the average voter. I plan on boycotting the old cow, or at least dropping her down intentionally to give my preferred #2 dipshit a better chance of staying in second place and not getting beaten out by a lesser DUmmy who didn't put in the same kind of effort. Happily embracing his own worthlessness combined with drug-indued brain damage and the liberal's natural inclination to have absolutely no work ethic will beat inbred stupidity any day of the week. kentuck needs to step up his game if he expects to finish any better than fourth.
Stinky isn't even in the top five this year.

Yeah real grassroots there and everyone knows it. This is VERY WELL sourced: Big Soros money linked to Occupy Wall Street (http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/9269-big-soros-money-linked-to-occupy-wall-street).

I hope that the OWS demonstrations continue for a long, long time and that they form a third party.
-
Bigger than the Tea Party...if that were the case, you wouldn't have given the TP the time of day for the past two years.

This is about the time of the year I have to start seriously handicapping the primitives.
Since I write the awards, I have to start garnering ideas about what the awards are going to say; they're not anything that can be created on the spur of the moment.
I think it's pretty obvious who the Top DUmmie of 2011 is going to be, despite that it's still a little more than six weeks away, before nominations start. Lest this disappoints other primitives who'd hoped to get that star billing, that's still time to do something spectacular, that would at the last minute swipe the crown away from the presumptive winner.
I dunno what "something spectacular" would be, though; perhaps a primitive trying to mail a letter-bomb to the executive headquarters of Skins's island, or somesuch.
For second spot--currently the hottest race for Top Primitivity--since mid-year it seems it's been between the Taverner primitive and the bluegrass primitive, "kentuck," although the grouchy old primitive Don and Omaha's Ed Norton are slowly moving up. Of the latter two, one of them's bound to grab either the third or fourth spot, at least.
The sparkling husband dude's been fading all year long, but still is up there. I figure the odds are pretty good he'll be in the Top Ten, maybe #08 or #09 or #10. Too bad for the sparkling husband dude, who's always wanted to be Top Primitive; he made it to second spot last year, but apparently he's fated never to become Top Dog.
He still has time to do "something spectacular" though, to wrest the crown away from the presumptive winner, such as sending his buddies Alphonse the Leg-Breaker and Louie the Mouth-Smasher and Izzy the Mortician to "visit" the executive offices of Skins's island.
(disclaimer: these are franksolich's personal estimations only; I just write the awards. Mr. Wiggum counts the votes.)

If by "thousand times stronger than the tea party" you mean odor, then yeah... :bird:
-
If by "thousand times stronger than the tea party" you mean odor, then yeah... :bird:
That's what I'm thinking too.
The primitives are confusing "noise" and "stench" with "numbers" and "power."
They do that a lot.
-
I think they're holding a "Not One Damn Brain" rally.
-
What they want (http://www.occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-for-occupy-wall-st-moveme/)
:fuelfire:
-
And some of those "Occupissants" are Litterally WELL ARMED!!!!
-
If OWS continues in the direction they are going, soon they will be calling out Democrats regularly - and what is Skins going to do then ? according to his rules, those supporting OWS would need to be removed from the island...
-
I wish the would occupy Walmart. It would be so much easier to put them in camps. The ones that try to run, well we could just give them the Rachel Correy treatment. Then we'd just have to push them under the gate.
