I celebrate this day every year. It's not my birthday, but another day I hold dear. It happened 43 years ago(I was 3). Can you guess what it is???

Yes, in a way, though I didn't become naturalized till 1976.

yeah I would run too Eupher.... :-)

My mum was telling me a funny story yesterday...

Being a first time immigrant, she didn't have an American Driver's liscense, so she had to call a cab. Well she waited and waited and the cab never came...
She calls the cab company back and asks did they forget us. The dispatcher said the cab came, but nobody came out the door, even though the cab honked. My mother was like oh i thought they came to get us, the dispatcher was like noooooo........

Oh dear, anyway we finally got our ride to the beach, and of course mum is clueless about American Currency.

While at the beach, my mum saw these huge beach rats scurrying under the rocks, and thought we have come to this country to get Bubonic plague!! This was in Peabody, Massachutess. Poor mum, she was really in deep over her head.

Those weren't rats -- those were Labrador retrievers. They grow them extra-special in Peabody which, by the way, is pronounced "peebuddy".  :lmao:
