A day off, huge meals and nice weather. What not to like? Other then the fact Christmas advertising will start any time now.
Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy it! :)

Well this is slightly embarrassing. I just remembered you guys don't have thanksgiving until sometime in November... :thatsright: Then again it's easy to forget things like that.
Perhaps this topic should be gotten rid of or something...

Happy Thanksgiving, commy! :cheersmate:
Have a great day and I hope you roast that ptarmigan to perfection.
It's actually kinda nice having a few Canadians around and FWIW I always thought Red Green would make a heck of a President (up there or down here) or at least a Supreme Court Justice.

Meh--we'll forgive you. But I'll never forgive you for screwing up a perfectly good game like football and 1--lengthening the field, 2--fewer downs.
Enjoy our scrubs that never would have made it in the XFL, let alone the NFL.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. There's always something to be thankful for, and I don't give enough attention to that. :)
As much as I like the whole turkey dinner thing, I might just add Oct. 9th to my Thanksgiving dinner days.

Yes, compaq, both you and . . . "the other Canadian," Happy Thanksgiving!
It's always right and proper to give thanks for all we have obtained (hopefully, in a legal, moral, and ethical manner) in our lives. I don't do it enough.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Compaq! Hope you have a good day!

Happy Thanksgiving.
What is the traditional meal? Turkey?
So excited. I have a four-day weekend coming in November. This should be nice.
-
Coincidentally, it is Columbus Day so a few people may have the day off. (Mostly government workers and bankers)

I always knew the Canadian Thanksgiving Day was like about five or six weeks earlier than ours; I thought it was perhaps because of the season, winter coming on up there sooner than it comes on down here.
I didn't know it was of such recent origin, though; I had always connected it with some Pilgrims landing in Newfoundland or something circa 1575.
Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day (Canadian French: Jour de l'Action de grâce), occurring on the second Monday in October (since 1957), is an annual Canadian holiday to give thanks at the close of the harvest season.
On Thursday, January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:
“ A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October. â€
Since 1971, Canadian Thanksgiving has coincided with the observance of Columbus Day in the United States.

I'm two days late! :panic: Just like with BSS's birthday! :panic: Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, compaq.
Gina, you were probably thinking you had a whoooole lotta Christmas shopping to do!
