We know that a peaceful world cannot exist , one third rich and two - thirds hungry." - President Jimmy Carter
That is but one reason why I voted for this man TWICE!

Twice in the same election, no doubt.
We have been feeding the poor in this country for decades and has that brought peace? Hell no, all it has brought is demands for more and more freebies, and more jealousy of those who actually work for a living.

1. Yep, is it any wonder why President Jimmy Carter was not that popular?
He loved everything that I have always stood for. In other words, he goes against everything that Repugs and Teabaggers stand for.
That's right he went against everything that us repugs and teabaggers stand for, he went against, freedom, prosperity, and a strong economy, that is why his ass was thrown out, just like will happen to 0bama next year.

2. Just look how far they had to go to kick him out. Shows how good he is! Updated at 9:33 PM
All it took was an election to throw him out, you act as if we had to send in Seal Team 6.5 led by Tom In Tib to get him out. :mental:

LOL Your own boy, Vast Teddy, "primaried" him. BTW, Vast Teddy torpedoed Carter's National Health Insurance plan, and did it for political purposes, hoping to present the plan himself and take credit for it had he been elected President. Put that in your bongs and smoke it. You might have had your vaunted "universal coverage" had it not been for that. Of course, the system would have long since crumbled and our financial system would be in even worse shape than it is.

President Peanut's lasting legacy is how skillfully he guided the American conversion to the metric system.

:lmao: Oh, that was successful! I remember we covered it in school for a while, and then....it just kind of fizzled out and we didn't cover it anymore. What happened with this fiasco, anyway?

Here, former president (thank goodness) Jimma Carter shares time with his smarter brother, Billy.

If I recall correctly once President Reagan took office he ended the executive order (or whatever it had been) declaring the US would convert.
One more thing we need to be grateful to him for.

I started using the metric system when I was riding and repairing Honda motorcycles regularly. It's not difficult to learn, but it does take a while to become accustomed to.
Having said that, I still think Carter was a dumbass for trying it, along with mandating the 85-mph speedometer and a 55-mph national speed limit.

Well, I'm familiar with millimeters, due to firearms. I just multiply by 4 to know what it really is.
And meters are just defective oversized yards.
Driving overseas and in Canuckistan, where speed limits and distances are in those stupid kilometers, you just go like hell because no one cares anyway.
If I want liquor, I let someone else mix the drink, so I don't worry about milliliters.
If you don't buy dope, you don't need grams.
That's about it for metrics.

If only that rabbit had got Jimmah.
BTW Jimmah is smiling, smiling really big these days.
