Title: Hillary on O'Reilly tonight at 8PM ET. (Wright "offensive and outrageous")
Post by: Wretched Excess on April 30, 2008, 01:54:20 PM
I think this should be worth (a) a heads-up to everyone to watch it, and (b) a live broadcast thread, complete with drinking words. :-)  she must be really carving Baroque Obama up something fierce; just the taping is generating new alerts from ABCnews.com.   :bwah:

Yeah, but he's pretty funny. I get his humor but I have to admit it took some time and is an acquired taste.

I liked him much more before he hit it big, and every sentence that came out of his mouth wasn't somehow about him.  not that I dislike him, mind you.  he is just a little shameless when it comes to self promotion.

That's where the money is.  Almost all the big names do the same.

I would do it about me, but I don't think I can get the money I deserve for being me.

I didn't say that I didn't understand it, I just said that I wasn't overly fond of it.

oh, and this populist kick that he has been flirting with off and on for about a year is a little odd . . . "I'm just watching out for the folks", is how I think he likes to put it.

Long-time fan of BOR here, but he's getting more condescending with age - I really don't want or need him to look out for me.

But I still find him funny in a weird way - thanks for the heads-up about this interview, it ought to be a real hoot - two big egos in one small room. :naughty:

she is going to kiss his butt because he is big down south, and she needs NC.  he is going to kiss her butt to impress his buddies in the MSM.

there's just gonna be a whole lotta butt suckin' goin' on. :-)

You are probably right, it'll be a degree of how obseqious she can actually get - I've heard that some polls have her tied in NC - if that's true, she'll end up being the nominee. :o

did anyone catch the 8PM broadcast?  how did she come off?  I decided to catch the 11PM rebroadcast;  I
had conflict at 8 with the Dodgers game, and unless we are actually bombing someone, the Dodgers are
going to win that decision every time. :-)

Poll of polls: Obama losing ground
Posted: 06:05 PM ET
Obama now leads Clinton by 1 point nationally.
Obama now leads Clinton by 1 point nationally.

(CNN) — The Democratic presidential race is tightening nationally, according to a new CNN average of several recent polls.

Obama's lead is now down to 1 point over Clinton nationwide, 45 percent to 44 percent, in CNN's "poll of polls." That margin is down 3 points from another CNN poll of polls conducted two days ago. In that analysis, Obama led Clinton 47 percent to 43 percent. The margin is also considerably lower than an April 18 poll of polls that showed Obama with an 11 point lead.

The poll of polls consists of three newly released national polls from Fox News/Opinion Dynamics, Gallup, and Newsweek. There is no margin of error on the poll of polls.

Both the Fox News poll and the Gallup poll were conducted partially after Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, made a fresh round of controversial comments earlier this week.

The Fox News poll also appears to show Obama no longer has an edge over Clinton among independent voters. In head-to-head match ups, presumptive Republican nominee John McCain wins independents by a 4 point margin over Clinton (42-38 percent) and by a 10 points over Obama (47 percent to 37 percent).

it's fairly amazing how quickly this has turned qround on him.  the MSM is talking about his candidacy being "in deep trouble", which is the step just before "disarray", which happens just before you die. :-)

yeah, but our prediction about FL and MI won't get off the back burner. :banghead:

the night of the dean scream, I was doing something else while I was listening to his speech on the TV in the background, and I swear, for a second, I thought the man had been shot, or had a cardiac, or something. :-)

i think i saw/heard the scream so often after it happened, that i cant honestly say what my initial reaction was. but i did know the media blew it way out of bounds.

but you do have to wonder how far back the Clintons had their hand in things in order to sink the other Dems for the past eight years in order to give Hilary this shot? Dean was just cruising along, making money hand over fist on the net.. its just so odd to me that one small thing should tank him.

now, this Rev Wright thing is way beyond a scream; this dude is scary and Obama's relationships are scary. I was just telling a friend that i think Hilary is getting tired of dinking around with Obama and wants him kneecapped right now. Cause this is her last shot - she wont get another one.

but obama certainly will..

I do think that the clintons sent wes clark into the primaries to draw the anti-war vote away from dean, just to keep hillary viable for 2008.  but no one made that man scream. :-)  it was said that it seemed perfectly appropriate in the hall that the rally was being held in, but TV made it seem semi-raving mad.

yeah, i heard the scream was lifted out of the crowd noise and amplified a bit to make him seem nutty.. but he was excited, and he was running away with the whole thing. having kerry be 'their guy' was so odd. the guy was just too effiminate and stupid. and a liar.

oh jesus... she is kissing his ass... but i like that he told her New York is worse off now than when she started as a senator.. notice she didnt answer.

OH.. and the only thing she is doing is following Obama onto FOX.. she didnt do it first, THAT would have been remarkable for her. bt she didnt.

as for New York, notice she said 'there need to be some big changes' ... what has she been doing all these years?? besides trying to spend a million on that hippie museum for Woodstock?

well yeah, he is much more of a loose cannon .. but he's also a much bigger ass kisser. O Reilly falls all over himself when he interviews celebrities of any stripe. i think a few more days of this and Obama may be dead in the water.. especially if him and the wife stop talking.

i didnt see Obama's actual press conference yesterday, but even DU said he seemed beaten and shaken. that doesnt bode well fr the person leading the free world.

and youre right, this whole Hilary on O Reilly thing does make her look far more self assured than Obama right now. she definitely has the upper hand right now but unless she sends Bill to Siberia... it wont last. she will step in it soon again.

bet on it.

I have read in the MSM that he was "visibly angry";  and that description was by members of the MSM that are obviously in love with him.

I think there is more calculation to this interview on fox than it seems at first blush.  aren't the remaining primaries in states like NC, WV, KY, one of the dakotas, and the like?  not what I would call raving moonbat states.  maybe the timing is actually strategic.

his journalism background is more  impressive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_O'Reilly_(commentator)) than I would have suspected.  please forgive me for linking to wiki, but perhaps we can at least trust the background facts.

you could be right, but lets face it, Hilary is not the most astute politician... she has fumbled around and let a virtual newbie take it all from her.

i think she followed him onto FOX, cause FOX had been stalking Obama, not her.

nobody is even talking about her lately - McCain doesnt talk about her except if someone asks him a question regarding her. they have officially sidelined Hilary .. so she's got to stay relevant especially while Obama is falling apart.

i think the fact that Hilary is now suddenly back in the game is all the media people getting flustered that obama fell down so hard. within days Hilary is 'within one point' of catching him? that doesnt even make sense..

and still, McCain continues to beat them both in poll after poll yet the media doesnt seem to notice that at all..

her campaign has been truly awful.  I was surprised.  I was expecting the clinton machine, and I got a puppet show.  but it's the clintons;  they never seem to snap out of whatever self obsessed haze that they live in until they suddenly realize that they are on the edge of oblivion.  then they are lethal.

this is all pretty classical clinton behavior.  I am actually beginning to believe that she may pull this out somehow.

I didn't either, until it came up with you tonight, and I looked it up.

I had never heard of him before his show on fox.  I really liked it when he first started, but the self promotion, and the books, and the t-shirts and ballcaps (as you pointed out :-)) put me off after he hit #1.  my differences with him are mostly stylistic;  I agree with him more than I don't.

i think if i hadnt read the three large books about Hilary last year, i wouldnt believe how ruthless and calculating she is behind the scenes.

its hard to square it with her public fumblings and Bill's irate temper over such small things.. but she certainly isnt 'brilliant' .. she just surrounds herself with conniving people who will do ANYthing to get back in the White House.

and that's why she cannot ever be allowed to get there..

i definitely used to agree with him more than i do now.. but he gets so angry with people, he sometimes doesnt even let them talk. which is fine, its his show.. but why have guests if you dont let them speak? Chris Mathews does that; he does the questions and the answers .. its bizarre.

but in the last few months that body language expert and the 'how much pop culture do you know' segments are stupid... but again, he doesnt claim to be a serious news guy - its all his opinions.

I tried.  I bought bernstein's "woman in charge" when it came out, but never could get past the second chapter without puking.

all the way back to her high school teachers... this woman has done nothing but locate power and try and suck it to her. the only thing she has going for her is determination cause her resume is about as bad as Obama's.

but we should never, ever underestimate that determination in her.

I have a certain grudging respect for her.  not bildo, he's just a craven, pathetic letch.  I never thought that the smarter of the two clintons was president when he was (literally) staining the oval office.

I actually googled her one night, because she struck me as a little creepy.  I wondered how one became a "body language expert".

That Tonya woman? I don't like her, because for some reason, I can't stop staring at her mouth every time she's on the program.

BOR's interview of Hillary wasn't exactly a grilling IMO - the Obama heads are REALLY angry over this interview, maybe because Hillary can actually answer the questions. She IS more dangerous and a more formidable opponent that BO, it showed. Part two today....

Agreed.  I can almost see it

Expert: "well, Obama is keeled over and is moaning and sweating profusely.  This suggests to me he is in some kind of pain."
Reported: "Could it have something to do with Mrs. Clinton just kneeing him in the nuts?"
