According to the Cook County Clerk's office, tax rates are up for schools, park districts, municipalities and other government bodies. Some of those tax levies have made double-digit increases in tax rates.
Just a small, almost insignificant sliver of empirical evidence highlighting the problem with corrupt socialism. The people won't stand it for long. Chicago is the US symbol for government waste and corruption. It plays out one of two ways; either the residents get tired of the escalating taxes and flee Chicago slowly but surely, causing Chicago to become one large inner city stinkhole, or the residents get tired of the escalating taxes and start electing people to clean up the town. The past 5 years could be turned into an economics textbook filled to the gills with examples of why socialism, entitlements, and large governments are doomed to fail, every time, all the time, and without exception. There's no need to question your political-economic beliefs if you're a conservative, socialism is unwinding as we speak.
California and New York have experienced a loss of population among the affluent and middle class, and the associated businesses they run.
Greece has collapsed under the weight of entitlement spending.
Obama's failed liberal policies have not turned the corner for the US economy.
The list goes on and on and on. I tell you, there's an economics textbook for the taking here.

The Albany County Executive, Mike Breslin, has stated that Albany County residents are due for a 19% increase in their property taxes. His brother is in the NYS Senate. I don't know if any responses from Albany County residents have been released yet, but when they are, I'm sure that they will be . . . umm, well, . . . "noteworthy." :lmao: :rotf:

The key to liberalism's failure will be their own policies driving away the money from their cause. Rich liberals and middle class liberals simply won't be able to take their own heat. 19% increases? Get ready to see some white flight.
