Case clothed: Scott Brown quip hits below belt
By Hillary Chabot
Friday, October 7, 2011 - Updated 5 hours ago
U.S. Sen. Scott Brown launched into attack mode yesterday against Democratic front-runner Elizabeth Warren, but ended up shooting himself in the foot with a misfired zinger that even some conservatives are calling a “Biden-level faux pas†— a reference to the notoriously gaffe-prone vice president.
“Thank God,†Brown retorted on WZLX radio yesterday morning, in response to Warren’s joke Tuesday that in paying for college, “Well, I kept my clothes on,†a poke at Brown’s much-mocked 1982 spread in Cosmopolitan.
The Republican senator’s offensive follows Warren’s strong performance in Tuesday’s UMass-Lowell/Boston Herald Democratic primary debate.

Two things -- the first being that I have no problem commenting when one of our own mess up, I don't think he did. This was funny. She opened the door for the slap down, and got what she deserved. I am not offended by this at all. It is a simple fact that Warren NEVER would have been asked to take her clothes off for a magazine. Brown was. That is the point here.
Secondly, I watched that train wreck of a debate between the socialists and communists. What a group of misfits that was. Warren doing "strongly" (which I guess has been defined as saying the words "middle class" about 100 times) is not exactly anything I would consider an accomplishment.

I agree, she set herself up for the smackdown when she brought up his past pictures. I've seen pictures of her, and I second Scott's opinion.

Atman wants to see her naked. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2073739)

BTW, I don't see a problem with what he said. Where's the gaffe?

The comments are mostly in favor of Brown. Crap-assed "journalism" from the Herald, that's not like them. The article doesn't even make sense - just a Brown hit piece.

I agree - very odd.

I'm up in MA. Heard it on the radio. I cracked up. Scott Brown's delivery is very good. It sounds like the locals here. She sounds like an outsider (no accent/intonation/speaks too slowly/too pc). I believe he'll do fine.
