Rep. Kucinich: ‘Occupy Wall St.’ protest is making a difference
Source: Raw Story
Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) released a video on Tuesday in which he praised the ongoing “Occupy Wall Street†protests in lower Manhattan and other cities across the United States.
“To the young men and women who are braving the overreaction of local authorities to raise their voices against the corruption and manipulation of our nation that emanates from Wall Street: I say to you that your presence is making a difference,†he said. “You are exercising the right every American holds most dear, the right of freedom of expression, and with that expression you are finally getting the attention of the nation.â€
“Wall Street banks got billion dollar bailouts but the American people get austerity,†he continued. “Fourteen million Americans are out of work. 50 million people don’t have health insurance and a million people a year lose their homes to foreclosure. Our policies take the wealth of the nation and accelerate it into the hands of the few.â€

This thing is going to fizzle out in a few weeks, some moonbats will get arrested for violence and the normal things that hippies do, but after that things will go back to normal and they will start preparing to try to help 0bama win another term.

Over time for the cops?

Over time for the cops?
Oh. Hadn't thought of that. :lmao: Maybe those nasty ole cops will get rich and become part of the 1%
-
I don't know, I didn't see much of a difference when I stopped by there today after work to pick up a few things.
Oh wait. Are we talking about Occupy Walmart or Occupy Wall Street?
nevermind, carry on.
-
so kucinich is agreeing that bailing out the banks was bad....
even though he voted for it. (stimulus package)
-
I hope Kooky helps to keep it going - because sooner or later, those Wee-wee'd up hippies are going to turn on the source of the problem, Obama, his bailout, his regulations, and his czars....

Hitler's presence in the world made a difference.
Pol Pot made a difference.
Stalin made a difference in the world.
19 hijackers made a difference on 9/11/2001.
If it is just about making a difference, that seems easy.

Well, it's certainly making the Leftards look like disorganized, combative, scatter-brained assholes, I'll give 'em that. The press has been remarkably kind to them, due to their endless thirst for sensation and desire to draw false and wildly-overstated analogies between the doings of any Left pseudo-populists and far more significant mass events elsewhere in the world, but I do not sense that much of anyone outside the journalistic alleged-profession is buying it.

It's time to call the media what they are.

YEE-HAW
HAW in mule talk means turn left you ass. Dennis knows his mules.

You have to give the Kootch a break here.
Consider his perspective.
He isn't really very familiar with effective politics.

Their only influence is comic relief. I guess you could say the country is badly in need of that right now.

One can only hope.
And, OMGYOURAVATAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is and the difference is minus 3 points for 0bama's poll numbers.
-
OWS is making me laugh a lot more in life at the moment and I'm a fairly giggly person. That's the only real difference I've noticed.
-
Over time for the cops?
And pepper spray providers.

You don't want that to happen. The only thing these hippies will accomplish is to get normal people to vote overwhelmingly against them, their demands, and their favorite politicians.
It would be a huge help to the Kenyan's re-election chances if the OWS creeps were cursing him.

I was just listening to local news, HUNDRES of protesters in Dallas and DOZENS plan on occupying over night. :rotf:

Yes, the Dallas Police Dept are quoted as saying "They have no special plans for this."
:whatever:

The hillarious thing about OWS is that they are, in fact, protesting liberal policies. They are protesting against Obama, and they're too stupid to realize it. Everything they complain about flows from DC. Don't like Wall Street? Maybe I don't, either. Had we let capitalism run its course, the bad behaviors on Wall Street would have been properly punished with a bankrupt BofA, Citi, and AIG. But thanks to liberal and RINO intervention, the bad behaviors were rewarded.
They're protesting the fact that we do have some well designed SEC rules that Obama chooses not to enforce.
They're protesting that they don't make enough money, when the government takes probably 30% or more from the average worker in some form of tax or another.
They're protesting that unemployment is high, when minimum wages and overbearing regulation are the true root cause.
They're protesting inflation, yet it's the government policies, not Wall Street, that are the direct and sole cause of it.
It's hillarious.

Wallstreet almost always favors DemonRats with their political donations.

They know who lacks the morals to not enforce laws, take bribes, look the other way, etc.
