OWS - ALL BROADWAY SHOWS CANCELLED THIS WEDNESDAY!

Here is an excerpt from from an email I just received from my union - Local 802 American Federation of Musicians NYC

"Local 802 Executive Board members voted unanimously on October 4th to support and participate in the Occupy Wall Street Community-Labor March on Wednesday October 5th. The vote came in the wake of mounting demonstrations taking place nationwide condemning business practices on Wall Street that adversely affect working-class Americans."

This is just beginning to ramp up.

The psychopathic grifting sociopaths need to come to grips with realty!

3. This should strike a chord.

Sorry. Not finding more than a single hit on google about this, hope it's true!

"Disaster Capitalism". Hostile takeover. What they break, they can purchase. "Privatisation" should be the most frightening word in our language; the failure of schools and infrastructure an indication they are under purposeful attack.

7. Here is more ...

"We would like to invite you to march in solidarity with your brother and sister union members tomorrow at the Occupy Wall Street Community-Labor March. Local 802 members will be gathering in the lobby of our building (322 West 48th St) at 3:30pm before heading down to City Hall to begin the march, which is scheduled to begin at 4:30. We strongly encourage you to bring your instrument and join in to sing a few union songs.
We look forward to seeing you all in attendance tomorrow!

11. Unfortunate correction: URGENT CORRECTION: Broadway shows NOT canceled!

The march is on but the cancellation was a mistake evidently by the Union using an old subject line, OY!

But still join us in solidarity!

Corrected email sent just a few minutes ago:

"Dear Musicians:

We apologize for the e-mail or e-mails that were just sent out with the subject "BROADWAY SHOWS CANCELED!" Due to a computer input error, that subject heading was used from a previous e-mail blast.

The text below is what we meant to send out regarding the Occupy Wall Street Community-Labor March.

Again, we apologize for the confusion!

Oh, no.  I'm sure the union actually WANTED to cancel all their shows on Wednesday, but then they realized that NORMAL people who paid a shitload of money (I'm looking at a Spamalot ticket I paid $110 for in 2006) would not look too favorably upon having their vacations ruined by a bunch of mutual masturbation douchebags.

So I guess money DOES talk on occasion, DUmmies.
