Herman Cain needs a reality check. The rethugs will never allow him to become their candidate
for President. They will choose Romney before him.

The normal  for a few posts.

2. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that today's.
GOP will never, ever select him as their candidate.

But let him enjoy the moment while he can. It may be the highlight of his life.

7. I think that they'll keep him around long enough to be able to claim "See, we're not racist."
Then they'll toss him aside at the first opportunity.

Then out of nowhere

12. I'm seeing more racism here than I do from the republican party these days
Cain is winning all the polls but the only thing you hear on DU is "He is black, it wont happen." There is a good chance that we may see a presidential election between two black men. Not many people ever expected that to happen anytime soon. But no, I log on to DU and what do I see. I see more people criticizing Cain and playing the race card here than I see from the Republican party.

News flash: the majority of Republicans don't care what race Cain is. They like his policies. They like his little 9-9-9 plan. They like that he has run a business.

But nope, he is black. No way he has a chance.

My father, a black man, supports Cain. My mother, a white woman, still supports Obama. Everyone says Cain is an Uncle Tom. Does that mean my father is an Uncle Tom.

I would really like to know this because it has become very clear that no educated black man could ever be a republican or support a republican. Those that do are turning their back on the black community, right? So my dad is an Uncle Tom?

My father hardly ever supported Democrats at the local level, because the county democrats, in his opinion, have been using the blacks in Indianapolis as pawns to win elections. He routinely supports Democrats at the national level, but not in Indianapolis. They spend the entire election in black neighborhoods and talking about black issues, but as soon as they get elected, they completely disappear. I'm told all the time that I don't understand what black people went through because I took a lot more after my mom than my dad. I don't bother to explain that my father is black because those people would just find another way to discredit my beliefs.

It's just really sad to see so many people wanting cheering for black man to fail because he is a republican.

15. Start you own thread if you want this to get traction
Otherwise it is lost in another thread and only a few will read it.

Just be ready to defend it because you're saying DUers are racists. Good luck. Sincerely, I mean that.

19. I completely believe it. You only want blacks to succeed if they are Democrats. I get it.
I forgot that MLK dreamed of a land where people would be judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character, as long as they are Democrats.

Was Michael Steele also a Rovian plant? Was he just a big scam to hide the racism in the Republican party?

Whites can be any party they want, but blacks can only be Democrats. Oh what freedom! If you are black and not a Democrat, you are just an Uncle Tom. You are being played by the Republican party.

It makes me sick that you would want to limit the opportunity of african americans in politics. Maybe during the election, we should have separate whites only and blacks only ballots? Whites can vote for whoever they choose, but the blacks only get to choose from the Democrats on the ballot.

It's come to the point that the ONLY reason libs continue the ZOMFGIZTEHRACIZZM schtick is to protect their own delicate psyches from the fact they have nothing left to offer that hasn't already been tried and found to be a failure.

I have to admit.  I can't vote for Herman Cain because he's black.

There I said it.

I have to vote for Herman Cain because I LIKE what he represents.  I LIKE his political stands and beliefs.

24. He was never planning to even get the nomination, like 99 percent of the rest
Cain just wants some publicity and to rake in some paltry campaign funds...Once it's all over he'll take his title of "former presidential candidate" and probably be a regular on the cable news shows, lecture circuit, or even ghostwrite a book...

He's also a useful idiot because it allows the teabaggers to bring out the 'we're not racist' canard...

You're right, they can't let it go.  But what an awesome find, Carl, and thanks for it!

Indypragmatist has said some other things in the past that were against the grain.  I hope he survives.  What he said, needed to be said over there.

I suspect he will receive the obligatory high tech DU-Lynching sooner rather than later.  Alert buttons are going off even as I type this. :lmao:

Lets see here now, IndyPragmatist is half black...or half white....so when he gets his tombstone, will it be because of the white half or the black half. Will his internment even be announced? Probably not, he'll just get a rock on his grave like all the other slaves on the plantation. Only the good, loyal ones got a tombstone.

22. The reason they like Cain is because he's not one of the ones they consider "uppity". They hate the

Obamas because the Obamas don't "know their place". They give Michelle Obama all kinds of gruff for merely suggesting that feeding kids greasy fast food leads to childhood obesity. She can't even recommend guidelines without being shat upon by the rightwing.

And also, remember the racist signage from the Tea Party events of the past 2 years. These are the hardcore Republicans who go to events and participate in straw polls. And apparently these are the people who are supporting Herman Cain.

You mean those signs carried by LaRoach supporters, or the ones held by plants that were chased away by the majority of the crowds?

Obama isn't uppity.  He's merely is a worthless, empty suit and has been from Day 1.  Color has nothing to do with it, you race-obsessed losers.

Wait, I thought they wouldn't vote for Romney because he was a Mormon or something? Man, you idiots need to huddle up and get your talking points down or something.

Is Indy a real liberal?  He's making way too much sense.  Isn't it amazing how a lib speaking truth really stands out from the crowd?
