NJ Outlaws Bath Salts

Gov. Chris Christie has signed a ban on synthetic drugs known as “bath salts” in New Jersey.

The new law makes it a crime to possess or sell the chemicals used to make the drugs. The powdery substances are snorted by users and mimic the effects of cocaine and methamphetamines.

The bill known as “Pamela’s Law” was named for Pamela Schmidt. The Rutgers student was murdered and authorities believe the man accused of killing her was under the influence of bath salts at the time.

1. When Bath Salts are outlawed, only outlaws will take baths.

I live in NJ (as you can see by my picture) and this is absolute bullshit. You know, there are plenty of substances that create the effect of "getting high", one of them is actually MUSIC. Should we outlaw that too?

Hey, now there is one way we might get you primitives to take a bath- make them illegal!  You'd be clamoring for them then!

Soap! Soap!  I need more soap over here!  My crumb is still crawling with bugs and filth!

The Centrist primitive's use of quotation marks is laughable.  A quick nadin search landed me at two pages describing the effects of both mephedrone and methylenedioxypyrovalerone, which are the prevalent ingredients in said "bath salts".  The Centris primitive also fails to mention that their beloved EU has already banned the use of these synthetic drugs, along with many other countries in the world.

So, Centrist primitive, here is your chance to put down your bag of bath salts you've been eating, row over from the island and explain how music is the same "high".  I'll even provide you the two links I used; and they are both from your favorite source, Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mephedrone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mephedrone)

You primitives complain when people get down on drugs like marijuana and the like, and use the defense that they are "natural".  If you defend marijuana as natural, how do you intend to defend these synthetic drugs?

Moving the goalposts...

This is ridiculous! So I guess I'm a criminal now because my Eczema acts up in the winter and I use Aveeno bath salts to reduce the itch?

Bally,

I doubt your Aveeno bath salts will be affected.  This law is targeting the "bath salt" market of drugs, not actual bath salts.

This wouldn't even be a problem needing addressed, if the primitives would quit sticking things into places they don't belong.

Gives the phrase "Calgon Take Me Away" a whole new meaning!

(Yes, I know...not the same as the druggie crap)

Yup.   :-)

What a normal person does with bath salts:(http://www.smileyvault.com/albums/misc/smiley-vault-misc-005.gif) (http://www.smileyvault.com/)

What a primitive does with bath salts: :stoner:

The "Bath salts" involved here are related to the "Bath salts" you're talking about in the same way heroin is related to equines, or cocaine is related to a white, fluffy form of frozen precipitation, dear lady.

Sort of like the K2 stuff they were selling here in MO was "incense".  ::)

They're "bath salts" in the same way as that Thai prostitute was a "woman".

Cleaver Thai's, trained their woman to pee standing up.[9]

Actually they did something far more difficult. They trained their men to pee sitting down.

Typical drug culture, name it to get around the law:

Quote
But while normal bath salts are made of epsom salts, glycerin and fragrances, these carefully crafted street drugs often contain MDPV, or methylenedioxypyrovalerone, a potent, highly addictive drug that stimulates the central nervous system. While most users snort the drug like cocaine, teens can also mix it with food or drinks, smoke it or inject it into the bloodstream.

Good job, keeps the ground around the hole somewhat dry. No man accused of leaving the seat up--no seat.[20]
