21. Don't thank me thank Will Pitt
His shared message is the one I passed on. Perhaps he can pass the message on to his friend?
So I said why not lug this over for everyone to share. I am sure Pittiful appreciates the buzz.

The Marines are coming to Wall St
This was taken from a message I just received on facebook:
"The Marines are coming to Wall St...(to PROTECT the protestors) "I'm heading up there tonight in my dress blues. So far, 15 of my fellow marine buddies are meeting me there, also in Uniform. I want to send the following message to Wall St and Congress: I didn't fight for Wall St. I fought for America. Now it's Congress' turn. My true hope, though, is that we Veterans can act as first line of defense between the police and the protester. If they want to get to some protesters so they can mace them, they will have to get through the ****ing Marine Corps first. Let's see a cop mace a bunch of decorated war vets. I apologize now for typos and errors. Typing this on iPhone whilst heading to NYC. We can organize once we're there. That's what we do best. If you see someone in uniform, gather together. A formation will be held tonight at 10PM. We all took an oath to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of this country. That's what we will be doing. Hope to see you there!!"
I am planing on revisiting this thread in 24 Business hours. :-)

Sheah, right. :bs:

I thought it was against military regulations to participate in political activities while in uniform.

It is. You can't even be in a commercial with a military uniform unless it's a non-profit charity organization.
-
I bet it is a bunch of former Marines. Now civilian with their dress blues hanging in the closet.
IMO, after spending a whole lot of time in the company of Marines. They do not sound like real members or prior members of the corps. Maybe they are a Village People legend band or something.
-
If anyone shows up in uniform it'll be heroes like TiTtyboy and Bradley Manning.
-
I bet it is a bunch of former Marines.
A bunch? I doubt that. If "Frosty" IS a Marine, he's in the extreme minority. DU hates this nation and everything it stands for. Marines, in general, DO NOT. No self-respecting Marine would be caught dead at DU. As a branch, they're probably the most patriotic we have. They'd be banned at DU in 2 hours after they saw their nation trashed.
"Frosty" is no Marine.
-
...and if you're lurking, "Frosty", don't challenge me on this shit unless you have a 214 to prove it. I will make you look like a lying little bitch. My dad is a Marine and I have many resources.
-
I wish I was in the rubber bullet business, these next few days would make my year.

A lot of LEO's ARE former military.
Hell, I can think of 4 right off the top of my head that workout at my gym that work for either OHP or OKCPD.
-
Of the Marines I've met, I only know one who is a far-out whacko lib. He works for PACCAR and gets all the UAW talking points via intravenous drip. Claims he was stationed in Guatemala in 1983 and hates Reagan with a passion. It's funny, because he turns beet red when he gets pissed off. It's fun to watch.
-

I'll second that.
My neighborhood is full of active and retired Air Force. They wouldn't be posting at DU either.
Probably some Francois Kerry types pretending to be Marines. Liberal protest DUmmies like playing dress up.
-
So -- according to this DUmmy...
Marines are going to join the Wall Street protest, in uniform - against 'little' things such as The Hatch Act - creating the image that the event is sanctioned by the US armed services in the process..
Yeah... that'll happen..
How about this scenario instead.
A few retired marines who happen to be moonbats will be joined by hippies who have found some old uniform bits & pieces in closets and second hand shops will be at the protest..
-
If they do this I am betting these will turn out to be fakes.
-
Oh I do hope they get pictures. No way would a Marine sully their dress blues by such antics, even the 5 that tilt left. Even if they were going there to get in some target practice.

Not gonna happen.

Even if one military ember showed up in uniform, that person would be photoshopped hundreds of times to make it look like more were there.

No update posted from Frosty yet.

Dear Frosty,
Okay, let's assume you are in fact a Marine. A pretty long assumption, but for the time being, we'll assume it's true. Now do you think for one second you're going to get enough of your fellow Marines to sully their uniforms to stand between a bunch of smelly ****ing worthless hippies who need 1--a bath, 2--a job, 3--a good ass-kicking, and the lawful authority that stands between them and the rest of decent society? Really? You're gonna keep the police, the lawful authority, from doing THEIR job?
FWIW, if you did in fact try that, and IF (but again, I doubt it) you were in fact a REAL Marine, Chesty Puller himself would rise from the grave to kick your ass up between your shoulder blades for being such a dumb**** drama queen ***** piece of shit, but YMMV.

If anyone could be reincarnated, I think that Chesty would pull it off.
The asskicking that he would administer would be epic, and this old cavalryman would be there to back that action 100%.

A) this is another fake soldier. Never served. But he bought a uniform and stayed at a Holiday Inn.
B) He will be the number one target for Pepper spraying cops who are REALLY former Marines.

Should be easy to spot the double bad faker...dress blues and a green beret.

I'm reminded of a wino in a ratty fatigue jacket I see occasionally, panhandling along an expressway exit ramp.

106. It seems that they are no longer active.
"Reilly added an edited statement: "I'm no longer in active duty or in any way contractually indebted to the military. Nor are any of my friends that are joining me.
To the officers' of this thread: I'm aware of the potential, maybe inevitable trouble I can get in. So too are my friends.
I don't really care about the debate here, the upvotes, the downvotes or anything in here really. Mental masturbation is awesome and all. But ****ing hell people get off reddit and do something about it. The decision is made. I just figured reddit to be a useful tool to get the attention of a good amount of veterans."
Since they are no longer active, they shouldn't get into trouble with the military for protesting.
Looks like a rear guard action by a bunch of WinterSoldiers. :poser: Sadly WeeWillie's rear flak is still exposed. Played again DUmmies, played again. :rotf:

It does seem when a Marine goes left they go all the way to stark raving moonbat. Just look at Murtha (who I hope is in a very warm place now).

I agree; you have to very carefull read anything a DUmmie, or even a garden-variety lying Democrat, posts to ensure what it is really saying vs. what it appears to say. This drivel, for instance, does not clearly and unequivocally say the alleged Marines are current active duty military personnel.
In any branch of military service, showing up at a public demonstration in uniform to confront police would probably end up in a slick sleeve and a short paycheck for any active duty personnel participating, aside from whether you want to split hairs on whether it violates the DOD Directive on partisan political activity, it is clearly service-discrediting behavior punishable under Article 134.

Maybe this one of those cases where it will happen in a few business days.

NBC TV news, I think it was, had a bearded dude with not to long hair on that they called a MARINE. They did a very tight shot of his face and neck. He was youngish, hairish, sissyish and DUmbish....he seemed to have on the black, high straight collar jacket of some dress blues....but something didn't seem right about it...so I'm guessing that's why NBC did the tight shot...he was SOOOOOO a poser that even they caught on to the charade and they didn't want real MARINES picking apart their story.

With the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", he was probably wearing ass-less chaps, if he even had any pants on.

That's along the lines of the tight shot of the AR-carrying Tea Partier, in the spring of 2010. For some strange reason, the shot didn't show the bearer's hands or above his shoulders . . . Turns out that he was a black Tea Partier. Blows the whole notion of "racist Tea Partiers" right out of the water.

This old Army 11B knows many "Marines not on active duty", to include my 85-year-old uncle. I do not know any "ex-Marines"...
The old saying "Once a Marine, always a Marine" is true today. All others are just posers.
BTW, I believe my uncle could whip his ass any day. :-)

I don't think there is a black jacket. Isn't that why they're called dress blues? I've not seen too many officers, maybe that's the difference. I know my son's is blue.

You're right, it's "Midnight Blue"...but on my TV it appeared black so I called it black.
And there was something about The collar insignia that didn't look right on his "uniform" either...but I didn't have time to get a good look at it.
-
Here's one from the Kaput primitive.
Looks like he just came from the Army surplus store to me.
Doesn't look right, but what do I know? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2043397)

So I went off in search of a refresher course in Marine dress blues....didn't see what I thought I saw on TV...so I looked up MCJROTC dress blues to see if the poser was perhaps in a MCJROTC dress blue uniform...nope.... then it hit me..:thatsright: :thatsright: No red trim on the collar and the EGA was flat black.
Now that I think about it, the jacket he was wearing, at least the collar area that they showed, looked like maybe an old "Nehru Jacket" from way back when dyed black.

The guy in the camo looks like he came straight from the Army/Navy surplus store. What a douche.

But I like yours too. I suspect the "Marines" who are coming are of the Gomer Pyle type. <wink, wink>
