Title: Congress Vs. You
Post by: megimoo on April 29, 2008, 10:05:01 PM
Energy: President Bush let the Democrat-led Congress have it with both barrels Tuesday, lambasting lawmakers for fiddling while the energy crisis burns.

It was a well-deserved takedown of do-nothing lawmakers. We've said it before, but we'll say it again: This Congress is possibly the most irresponsible in modern history.

This is especially true when it comes to America's dysfunctional energy policy. The media won't call either the House or the Senate on its failures, for one very obvious reason: They mostly share an ideology with the Democrats that keeps them from understanding how free markets and supply and demand really work....

I thought the President was sensational today.  The problem I have with his press conference is that it is too late to be receiving any High Fives from me.

Maybe I am judging too harshly.  After all, the clown congress "leadership" did keep the President tied up defending the United States military against its domestic enemies (democrats in congress) for the last fifteen months.

I gave you a H5 to offset your sadness.

I think that has always been problematic with Dubya's time in office, when he finally makes a statement and shows some leadership he's fantabulous, but it takes forever from him to do so and it's usually too late for anything effective to be done by the time he does.
