Why do conservatives want to make it easy to buy a gun...
but think they are celebrating freedom by making it harder to cast a vote...
Both are rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Shouldn't they both be treated the same?
They are willing to let convicted felons to be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to purchasing but are scrutinized when the try to get into the voting booth.

Yeah because showing an ID is such a chore. :mental:
What's next requiring people to be 18 or older to vote, requiring people to be actual citizens? Such fascism. :mental:

Or demanding that they actually be alive, or actually exist.
-
Actually, in a better world, the requirements for the two should be the same.

Damn man, you really are a fascist. :-)

I agree.
The funny thing about the left is in every instance but one they cry about being guilty until proven innocent, yet when it comes to gun rights they champion being guilty until proven innocent.
-
My solution would be to have the same requirements to register as there are to getting a gun permit, voting would require jumping through the same hoops as it does to actually purchase a firearm.
That seems fair, does it not? As an added benefit, a lot of liberal votes would be lost in the big blue places that have virtually outlawed guns.
-
Ok. We will use the same rule you leftist idiots used in California, a fifteen day waiting period to vote. That way we can have plenty of time to weed out the idiots.
-
The liberal ideas on guns never cease to amaze me.
Let's say that guns are made illegal. Do the liberals think that the CRIMINALS will follow the gun law and not have a gun?
Isn't the definition of "criminal" a person who breaks or has broken the law?
-

They also think hate crime laws will make morons who want to drag black people behind trucks think twice. :mental:

Yeah. Hate crimes are another nutty idea. I can see the news now:
News anchor 1: In the news tonight a 30 year old male used a tire iron to beat the hell out of another 30 year old male.
News anchor 2: That sounds like a hate crime.
News anchor 1: No. Not a hate crime. They were both white.
News anchor 2: So it was a love crime?
-

News anchor 1: No. Not a hate crime. Only white people can commit hate crimes.
News anchor 2: So it was pay back for whitey's oppression?
FIFY
-
So a black guy and a white get a bar fight and the white guy shoots the black guy, that's a hate crime. But a white woman savagely beaten and stabbed 27 times by an abusive boyfriend isn't. My guess is there's a hell of a lot more hatred expressed in the second act than the first.

Quietly, under your breath....say..2.

Why do conservatives want to make it easy to buy a gun... because they work and donen't have time to waste. You government tit suckers have all day to fill out paperwork and wait.
-
a fifteen day waiting period to vote.
You would, effectively, kill the DUmbocratic Party.

That's a question I've asked anti-Second Amendment fanatics for years and years and years.....
.....and I've never gotten an answer.

Frank, you should know better than to ask a logical question!
-

Most of the democrat party voters are already dead. Just not taken off of the voter roll.

Because making gun posession illegal works so well in Chicago, DC, Boston, pick a city.

Yep, and the left knows that they can't win much anywhere without massive voter fraud. It is the only logical reason for the vehement stance against requiring and ID to vote, though the left has required IDs for their various ponzi schemes for the better part of a century.
-
I believe voter ID will have exactly zero effect on the outcome of any statewide or national election.
But I strongly support it due to the fury it generates among the DUmbasses.
That alone is reason enough to pass it.
-
Actually, in a better world, the requirements for the two should be the same.
:exactly:
-
In Massachusetts I have to not only show an ID to purchase a firearm but also provide a fingerprint and four sheets of paperwork and I am still limited to the state government approved firearms which excludes many of the best made and most reliable.
-

Notice that they all have a large or better than average number of blacks. Now are they trying to disarm the black criminal element and stop violent crime OR are they disarming the white population so they can't defend themselves when blacks riot?
What are they doing when they pass these laws? They can clearly see from past history that gun control laws don't work in favor of the law abiding citizen. I guess it's the stupid liberal mind set of just one more law, one more tax, just a few more dollars spent and it whould've/will work.

From what I have read , gun laws were aimed at preventing former slaves from owning guns. I would have to say that current gun laws are aimed at keeping guns off the DemonRat plantation.

They have much the same cognitive dissonance when it comes to abortion.

I know I'm just a dumb foreigner, but if memory serves me correctly there is no right to vote per se enumerated by the U.S. Constitution - merely certain cases where the franchise cannot be denied to a person on the basis of a given characteristic (e.g., sex). By contrast, the right to bear arms is pretty clearly defined.

To hear DUmmies tell it, they're 300 amendments to the U S Constitution.
The one that I wasn't aware of is welfare is a civil right. They misconstrue the "Promote the general welfare" part from the preamble.

I'm all for that, let's have current government-issued photo ID requirements, FBI criminal records checks, and sworn certifications of all the facts establishing eligibility for voting!

And a property tax receipt.

In my lifetime I have noticed that liberals are simply compelled to do the wrong thing in any given situation.

This website explains my top "100,000" reason I want every conservative to own a gun.... http://www.democraticunderground.com/

That's a bit of a lie there. I have no trouble denying a convicted murderer, rapist, or armed robber the right to own a firearm.
