Onion followers cry foul over fake hostage tweets

On Thursday morning, The Onion's Twitter feed began publishing news about a hostage situation at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The tweets described a terrifying scene of children taken hostage by members of Congress and demands for an exorbitant ransom.

Say what you will, I'm a terrible person because I found this whole thing to be funny. Especially the "ransom" amount of 12 Trillion dollars.

It's  :-) funny but not  :rotf: funny to me....but it is awful close to being the truth about what the democrats have done to the children of the future.

Now, if you were to substitute "Muslims" in there, the horror story would be more believeable and the MSM would have gone viral with apologies to the Muslim world.

Nothing terrible about you Compaq.  I was ROFL with each new update yesterday.  I especially liked it when "President Obama donned a bulletproof vest to talk the Congresscritters down". Pure comic gold.  :-)
