NEW ORLEANS -- An Uptown neighborhood was clogged with cars Wednesday morning as 60 people showed up outside a home on Calhoun Street, demanding the removal of a sign of President Barack Obama in a diaper mounted on a fence.
The people gathered outside the home just off St. Charles Avenue said they came to express their frustrations over the "offensive" poster.
In the crowd was former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, and he said he already talked to homeowner Timmy Riley -- but the sign hasn't been removed.
Many residents said the poster is distasteful and disrespectful to the president and to African-Americans.
However, views over the sign were split among neighbors in the Uptown community.

So that sign is offensive but this one was A-O.K. right?

Definitely an insult to all white people, yup that's the first thing that came to my mind.
Maybe we should have the Congressional White Caucus look into that!

Of course you have the Loony Leftist crying out for his arrest for...... TREASON!!!!!!!! :panic:

Liberals Try to Remove Anti-Obama Signs in New Orleans (http://mrctv.org/blog/liberals-try-remove-anti-obama-signs-new-orleans)

Go have a look on Google maps at that location, corner of Calhoun and Coralie. Not exactly da 'hood and not exactly on the main drag either. One would have to go quite out of their way to find this location. It's also not quite a dead end but it may as well be. It's a side street off a side street that does not border any through roads. In fact it borders a "park" which it faces and which is really an overgrown uninhabited bayou, a solid jungle of heavy vegetation. The only residents here would be gators and herons and I doubt they're offended.
I wonder if Mzzzzz. Susan G. Guidry, (D, professional community activist) District "A" City Councilperson would be as miffed or as resolute in her conviction to utilize any and all city ordinances as she promises in the video in her efforts to remove any such signs depicting republican politicians.
Signs like this one~

Now if he would just add Bill Ayers folding a US flag into a 3-cornered diaper, it would be complete.

Best of luck to that homeowner, now he has opened up a bag of worms.
If the owner has children the DCPS will be at his door, then city inspectors to check his wiring and plumbing to insure it meets today's codes. If he owns a business that also will be checked out for code violations ----The IRS will be tipped of, perhaps even a tip to the vice Squad and a midnight visit from a Swat team looking for drugs or kiddie porn.
This family had best be squeaky clean, someone is bound to find something to harass them with, even a loose gutter can be a violation of safety codes.
The city can amass so many violations, real and imaginary, on the property that it can and will be condemned until the violations are fixed and approved by the city, may take months for the city to reinspect and mean time the family cannot live there.
It takes allot of money to fight the system, and GUTS to keep our freedoms and say screw the neighbors, if I want to paint my house with pink polka dots, I will do so. This is the Yankee French in me.
We have had controversy in my area of HOA taking people to court for flying the American flag, even putting up Xmas Lights, and forcing owners to remove Christian Saint 2 foot tall statues in their gardens. Buddha's are OK but out goes Mother Mary and St. Christopher.
Is this not the only country in the world to go by the MOTTO---Live And Let Live------MY State Motto is ---Live Free or Die--

It needs to show the shit running down his legs. That diaper is overflowing.

Well many say that obama is distasteful and disrespectful to America so lets just call it even and go home.
-
Vesta, that's New Hampshire's motto, not Maine's, right?
There's all kinds of anti-Obama signs in Northern New York. We've all got a right to express ourselves.

Right Karin, I share both States as home as I live on the border, went to school in both states, raised in both states and for last 24 years lived in NH but have my family in Maine, less then 15 miles away.

It's a noble mission, Frank, but the phrase that comes to mind for that particular "get-together" is, "when hell freezes over." :lmao:
