Title: You are BROKE
Post by: CG6468 on September 26, 2011, 07:59:04 AM
Can you survive?

Find out. (This is only a test.)

Can you make it? (http://playspent.org/)

Yeah, I survived, but the bastards impounded my car.  :argh:

It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the liberal tone to this "test".  :whatever:

Made it through with $200 to spare, and all the bills were paid as well.

Gee, it isn't as if I hadn't lived that for the last 2-1/2 years or so.

I survived, but I ran into someone's car on a slick street and went broke paying to fix the bumper.

Urban Ministries of Durham?  Durham, NC?

Quote from: Wikipedia
The area is predominantly Democratic, and has voted for the Democratic Party's presidential candidate in every election since the city's founding in 1869.

Yeah, I thought so.

I didn't like the either or options.  The lunch money one bugged me, it was free lunch or pay $3 for lunch.  What happened to kids bringing their lunch?

Yeah, the whole diatribe when I elected not to join the union was a bit of a givaway.

I made it through with $240 to spare, didn't get impounded  and paid my bills.  I did have one job strike for calling in sick when the suckerthief stole my gas.

I got siphoned as well.  Apparently I had to sell my .45ACP before moving to 'Da 'Hood'.  Who knew.

Considering that school lunches are full of the processed crap that Moo-Shell tells us we need to stop eating...

The self-sufficiency aspect built into this is appalling...then again, it is geared toward Democrats.

You are BROKE  ...then life is back to normal.

Every time I made a responsible choice, there would pop up an excuse of why people can't do that.
I declined to talk to the union people and declined food stamps, and was told that I should have.

If DUmmies play this game when it says find a job or exit, they all hit exit.

I made it with a couple hundred bucks.

I've lived some of this stuff, and I didn't do any of the things they offered at choices.  What a bunch of bums.

Another thing is that they had a a new "crisis" pop up almost every day.  Gas gets siphoned from your tank, pet gets sick, plumbing breaks, car accident, speeding ticket, etc., etc.  Yes, all sorts of little expensive can pop up, but most people won't be dealing with day after day of expensive problems.  And the sob story about how people have to go to work sick because they can't afford a day off  :whatever:  I had paid sick time and I went in sick at time because I had work that I needed to do and people were counting on me.

Yeh I had a question about how my warehouse job was taking it's toll on my back and it asked me what I would do, go to the dr, take the day off sick, or work through the pain.  I picked the latter.  I would think anyone that was on the verge of losing everything would also.  Guess not  :whistling:

I quit when I couldn't get the rent slider down to more than double my current rent.

I had the "bad back" thing pop up, too.  And what was it 40#? 20#?  Get in shape and stay there.  Learn about, and practice, good body mechanics.

Check with the landlord before letting someone move into to HIS house.  Don't have a pet if a) you're poor, and b) you're renting the landlord hasn't approved it.

Talk to creditors before you're in crisis mode.  Buy different groceries.  Work and barter in exchange for services.

Every time I made a responsible choice, there would pop up an excuse of why people can't do that.

I have a cousing that is soooo like that.  I stopped answering her calls.  She'd ask for ideas and then counter with why she couldn't and how the government should.

In what other dimension does this game take place in? This is such bullshit propaganda. I actually made it through the first time, but kept running into problems in the second try.

I had $487 left, and I totally think this game is propaganda too!

Lame choices. I live my whole life "broke" but I am doing just fine.

I think this did the opposite effect.  It proves that if you make tough decisions in life you won't always be poor.  We made the tough decisions and ended up with money to put away
