It may not be intentional - given the cameras to record all of his hate speech in glaring technicolor - but then most Freudian slips rarely are.
Is it possible that this is Gator???
-
Yeah, he caught his own slip almost before it was out of his mouth. More Freudian than anything.
Unlike the 57-state comment, or the Austrian language comment, or the Intercontinental Railroad comment. Those were glaring and revealed a true inability to think on his feet, which is why we have TOTUS.
-
Oh come on now. He can't really be that stupid can he?...nevermind... that's being stupid on my part.

His 'gaffe' is what comes of filling an empty vessel at Jerry Wright's Trinity United Church in Chicago.

On that score -- worship -- like most politicians, Barry went to church to try and convince others he is pious and devout even in a religion that he not only knows nothing about, but rejects out of hand. When Barry goes to church, the last damned thing on his mind is focusing on God because he's too busy focusing on himself.
Barry claimed he never heard Wright braying the racist bullshit from the pulpit that he spewed.
The thing is, I believe him. I don't think Barry heard a word out of Wright's shit-stirring mouth.

How many times has he actually attended church, any church, since being elected?

I've pointed this out before. Previous administrations have always chosen and designated a place of worship within days or at least the first few weeks of their inaugurations and regularly attended while in office.
So far as I know the 0 administration has yet to do so.

I vote we give him a pass on this, not like he was in Hymietown making this statement. I mean we know there are no issues between Jews and blacks. Right?
It was just a slip of the tounge, maybe even just a smudge on the telepromper. :rotf:
The left would have done the same for GW. :-)

It's been a few months since I read up on this, but Barry had "chosen" the same church (I think it was Episocopal or Methodist) church that GWB went to. BUT, within a couple of weeks after his (cough, hack, spit) inauguration, Barry "concluded" that his presence at that church was too "distracting" and thus opted to "worship" at the Camp David Chapel.
GWB was known to do the same -- worship most often at the Camp David Chapel -- just in the spirit of fairness.
Did some digging, and here's an article from Slime Magazine on the subject.

As far as I know there is no requirement for a President to have any faith in God or worship his or anyone Else's God.
We have had Presidents that were closet Atheists, this happens. The President is not there to make decisions on his faith, only the law of the land.
Why expect a President to worship God at all, can we expect a God less leader to lead us, who knows but many have in the past, Some did believe in in God, but not the Churched God others believed in.
Most of our founding fathers up to the present time were and are Masons. a deep belief in God, Country and Family. No one Church do they attend, some may never set foot in a Church or Temple but they believe and do the work they were set out to do perhaps before the pyramids were built.
When a leader comes about to claim he is of any religion and finds a way to get out of their duty, such as--
-- Christians are called to gather together with the sinners. these are from the bible the people the church was built for to rescue and give them comfort in the name of he lord. The Church was not built for those that were good and faithfull people, the Church was for the sinners to find peace in the name of the Lord.
Think I will had out to the Religion forum, I seem to be rilled up.
