I can't find anything on the NY Post and NY Daily News websites.
Probably because it's not newsworthy, being just a few hippies.
But Mr Mannn's been tracking this via twitter.
Oh! do you know what the latest Twitter link is? it keeps changing for some reason. Let me see if iowahawkblog is discussing this at Twitter.
I'm trying to figure out why the hippies had umbrellas, that the cops are taking away from them.
Maybe they planned to appease someone?
It's been raining on and off since yesterday and rain is expected until at least next Thurs.
But the steel wool being forbidden, I have no idea.
Here's some Twitter links:

#OccupyWallStreet

They're so disorganized.

Mr Mannn's informed me umbrellas can be construed as weapons, apparently.
I didn't know megaphones are illegal in New York City.
The hippies are now megaphoneless.

I know you're supposed to be able to use steel wool as a quick fire starter. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it being forbidden. With steel wool and a box of kitchen matches, MacGyver could make an atomic bomb.

But not a DUmmie! :-)
They keep changing it because their hash tags keep getting lampooned by conservatives tweets. :lmao:
Iowahawk has been quiet today but there is a guy still Tweeting
@DickMeyers
#occupywallstreet #ourwallstreet
Hmmmm, he sounds familiar too.
So.....eighty were arrested, for blocking traffic.
Do they still require a shower before admitting one into jail?
Or has that been banned as "cruel and unusual punishment"?
Oh that brings to mind the wicked witch in "The Wizard of Oz"..."I'm melting". :lmao:
Question, how are Conservatives to upraise and run the liberals out of office if dissent is treated as a criminal act???Vesta, Vesta, Vesta. As usual you are off the mark.
Hey I just discovered this thread!

No Vesta. Conservatives are NOT repressing dissent. New York is a Liberal city. The Mayor, Bloomberg is a liberal mayor. Liberals rule the city and they are the ones who make all the laws.
The protesters are NOT acting in dissent. They want to overthrow capitalism and replace it with an utter socialist state...But their rhetoric is pure communism/ One of the goals of this protest is to imprison all bankers and anyone who works for a bank for the crime of being capitalist.
Vesta, these peaceful hippies want to imprison people who just disagree with them. They. Are. Evil.
The chat associated with the protest is full of people from the protest site and they are constantly calling for murder of the police, politicians, and all who simply disagree with them.
this was never meant to be a simple protest: this is supposed to be an Arab Spring revolution. People die in revolutions and they are planning people's courts to execute the losers.
Vesta, dissent is protesting and working with the system. The protesters are not doing anything like dissent. Certainly they will extend no such rights to us.
Vesta, get a spine and grow up a little. some people's kids. :banghead:
Mr Mannn, it is so easy to sit so far from the problem, as long as these problems do not effect us, What Me Worry.Vesta, its so easy to be blind and stupid. Bitch slap for being blind and stupid.
Bumping to reiterate. The protest takes pains to appear good and democratic. But scratch the surface and the foundation of evil is revealed. These people want the same murderous purge that Ayers advocated in his book.
they appear innocent, but its just another mask.
Mr. Mannn,Vesta!!! Pay attention. Are you literate? What the :censored: does that have to do with anything on this thread?! Do you READ the threads you rant on?
We in our life times have never seen what our grandparents or great grand parent have lived through----
Blah Blah Blah
Mr. Mannn,
We in our life times have never seen what our grandparents or great grand parent have lived through----A run on banks. The banks had to shut their doors as they did not have the cash on hand or could not get the cash to realease money in saving accounts to the people.
I remember a photo from Germany in the 1930's where the dollar was so devalued that people who worked for cash brought home their pay in wheel barrows.

The WHAT?? :banghead:don't expect a coherent response
