The article is a puff piece. I won't waste your time. THE COMMENTS are where the news is!
Old Goat
I think they know the candy store will be closing on Nov 2012
Is Michelle employed? NO.
This is yet another taxpayer funded shopping spree for Mrs Obama.

I'm not a fan of Michelle or her fashion sense but I feel your post is unfair. She borrowed the cuffs as do many politicians and celebrities. Even if they were purchased I believe that O and Mrs O have their own wealth from their books and whatnot.
There is plenty to be mad at the P/FL/OTUS about, IMO it's better to stick with facts and relevant issues.

However, I do appreciate this comment from the article's comments section:
This is not the time for Michelle Obama to be wearing 42 thousand dollars of diamonds. Bought or on loan, it is inappropriate. Does she think before she does these things, how it looks to millions or people out of work. Talk about class warfare.

Neither the streetwalker nor her foreign husband care about anything but themselves, or how things may look to others.

Agreed.

Sherry, I didn't bslap you; I rarely do that.
Borrowing jewels aside, Michelle spent $10 million in real money on endless vacations where she drinks top shelf booze on our dime. These 2 have to go.
-
It's not the vacations, the food, the extravagance at a time like this.
It's the whole "in your face" attitude they both seem to have. Entitlement mentality? Wouldn't surprise me.

I like jewelery that sparkles, but damn, did Moo-chelle really need THAT many diamonds? Don't get me wrong, the 23 year old who created that jewelery did a wonderful job, and good for her for making her own money. Michelle, honey, go over to Target and buy jewelery next time.
