Well now, that's really silly.

My good friend Don asked

That was his question, nothing more.

And so why is nadin barging in with a non sequitur, something that has nothing to do with the question my good friend Don asked?

Does one suppose nadin's an attention whore?

By the way, Don can kiss my ass.

nadin evidently wanted to indicate that she is now a citizen, or found a way to commit voter fraud at least in the 2000 election.  She isn't shy about admitting her stupidity in voting for the manbearpig, though.

They're always the minority, very rarely do conservatives become regressives, but regressives do become conservatives.

It's something to watch, the way the DUmmies are tearing into the other DUmmies that voted for Reagan--even if they've voted straight Dem in the 30 years since.  Charming people.

Don would never, ever vote for a Republican.  As evidenced by this thread on how he was raised, he comes by his "you owe me, and the government is paying for it, therefore it is free" naturally. He posted about his mother being jealous of fellow foodbank volunteers getting Medicare to come and clean their blinds.  I really did not believe it was a firsthand account of his own mother's greed about sucking government resources when not even needed, until his name appeared at the end of the post.   I thought it was being posted to be scoffed at.  Seeing the replies, boy was I wrong.

I thought someone might bring this over, but, everything scrolled too fast, since today, all day, was OMG a cop killer is going to be executed day at DU, but we are OK that the white supremacist was executed.  FTR, I agree with both executions.

But see, sir, the point is, grouchy old Don asked a simple question, but then nadin jumped in and said something that had nothing to do with Don's question, much less answer Don's question.

It's like nadin had an irrepressible compulsion to say that she's here.

A lot of primitives do that--when someone asks a question, many of them go off on something not related to the question being asked.

The worst one's the porcine aspylad the Odin2005 primitive, who if he doesn't have an opinion on a matter being discussed at a campfire, will jump in to say "I don't have an opinion on it."

Whoop-dee-doo.  So the porcine aspylad doesn't have an opinion.

If one doesn't have an opinion, then one just moves on to something else.

I swear, about 10% of all primitive comments at campfires on Skins's island are merely a primitive butting in to say "I'm here," and nothing more than that.

They're always the minority, very rarely do conservatives become regressives, but regressives do become conservatives.

I've never known personally a conservative who turned regressive. I've seen political whores do it like Arlen Sphincter, but never an ordinary private citizen.

The operative phrase.  And I've never personally known a conservative who turned regressive, either.

And look what good it did him.

Hey Nadin, the question didn't need clarification.  It clearly didn't apply to you, but you just had to flap your gums.  Reading comprehension fail.

nadin lives in California, for Chrissakes.  It's not like you have to be a citizen to vote there.  Just ask Loretta Sanchez.

Uh huh.

Exactly what I've been trying to say, sir, although you said it better.

Gotta disagree, Frank.  10%?  10%?  The percentage is much higher in my opinion.  Look at all the "K&R",  "+1", "+1,000,000",  posts that consist solely of an icon, and all such echo chamber-type posts.  They simply love to see their names in lights.

This one by Nadin takes the cake, though.  Old Don is talking about Reagan, and she comes back with a Gore comment?  She's off by 20 years, and she could have nadined that.

Think I'll row over and look at the squabbling.

True.  I've "confessed" this before, but I was a Dem until I turned about 19 or 20.  Voted for Dukakis in '88, my first presidential election.  Yeah, I was young and naive.  I wouldn't call what I was a regressive, but uneducated.

The more I learned in business school and started examining liberal & Democrat policies, the more conservative I became.  Other than a few scattered votes for Dems where there was no Republican running (Mayor Daley comes to mind), I've always voted for the Republican since.

That's the truth, ma'am.  I'll admit I was a raving socialist in High School!  I learned the error of my ways once I started paying taxes.  :hyper:

Me too, word for word.  DUmbshit college student.  Thank God we did no harm.

JVS is coming off as a real asshole in his thread over there.
