Title: Chicago Tribune: Why Obama should withdraw
Post by: Chris_ on September 18, 2011, 02:09:33 PM
Quote
The vultures are starting to circle. Former White House spokesman Bill Burton said that unless Obama can rally the Democratic base, which is disillusioned with him, "it's going to be impossible for the president to win." Democratic consultant James Carville had one word of advice for Obama: "Panic."

But there is good news for the president. I checked the Constitution, and he is under no compulsion to run for re-election. He can scrap the campaign, bag the fundraising calls and never watch another Republican debate as long as he's willing to vacate the premises by Jan. 20, 2013.

That might be the sensible thing to do. It's hard for a president to win a second term when unemployment is painfully high. If the economy were in full rebound mode, Obama might win anyway. But it isn't, and it may fall into a second recession — in which case voters will decide his middle name is Hoover, not Hussein. Why not leave of his own volition instead of waiting to get the ax?

The First Malignant Skidmark's slogan could be:

Mourning in America!

The comments over there (350 or so) are all GET RID OF HIM NOW, WE CAN'T WAIT.  Except for one lone supporter,  :panic:  whose voice in the wilderness is pathetic.  Oh, two.  Someone called "Earthwatcher" who begs us to consider the planet and "support him."     She was roundly ridiculed.

Resignation is the only way to primary Obama without being called a racist. Further its only only way to salvage whats left of the black and Jewish votes.

Its already been revealed that racism will be the core of the Obama 2012 campaign. The rats are over a hole and they know it. They cannot primary Obama without falling into the same racist trap that they're setting for the GOP.

I expect to hear more calls to resign. But that may only anger the narcissist in chief into staying in the race.

Just no way for rats to flee this sinking ship.

Simple, Lord Zero needs to say he wants to "spend time with his family" and not run again. Then he can be Michelle's problem. :-)

Something tells me Michelle is going to have a problem if Barry is there or not.

Maybe it's all those unhappy-looking pictures the newspapers keep taking of her.  Damn those newspapers.

He needs to be there for his daughters, just in case they need a ride to Planned Parenthood so they are "burdened" by an unwanted child.
