Alan Grayson's call for new jobs program....
from email:
I like to help my children with their homework, whenever I have time. (And since January, I’ve had more time.) It’s great to help them – I know all the answers, and I never have to take the exams.
Last night, we tried something different. They helped me with my homework. A math problem:
“We are spending $159,000,000,000.00 on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan this year. If we ended the wars, brought the troops home, took that money, and created decent jobs paying $30,000 apiece in the United States, then how many jobs would we create?â€
Skye, the 16-year-old, took out her phone, clicked on the calculator app, and gave the answer:
“5,300,000 jobs.â€
Correct.
I asked the 12-year-old, Star, and the 10-year-old, Sage. Both gave me the right answer:
“5,300,000 jobs.â€
Then I asked the 6-year-old twins, Storm and Stone. Storm said “thirty hundred and five.†Stone agreed.
OK, so we have a jobs program that a 10-year-old can understand. But, admittedly, not a six-year-old.

I only brought this stupid thread over because the DUmbasses make fun of the goofy names Palin gave her kids.

He seems to be stuck on names that begin with an "S". When is he going to name one "Shit"?

Yes, but liberals never create $30,000 jobs. They spend $700 billion just to create 14 jobs rennovating insulation in old homes and call it a "Green Jobs" success.
What always puzzles me is that if you cancelled the war, and brought all the troops home, how much of that $159 billion would actually be saved? You still need to pay the troops, fuel tanks and trucks and planes and ships, maintain equipment, use ordinance, feed on base personnel, etc. Admittedly there would be some savings, but unless the $159 billion is the incremental wartime costs, you're not going to save that much. I'd like to see the real numbers please.
Further, to maximize the job creation from any savings, that money would have to go back to the taxpayers in the form of tax cuts, which liberals won't do. So, their $30,000 jobs created will end up costing $500,000 a piece, and will likely be temporary in nature. So, there's not a snowball's chance in HELL of that money actually creating 5 million jobs.
Further empirical evidence that liberals suck at math.

Okay.
Here we go again.
The disgraced ex-congressman from Florida is a bona fide member of Skins's island.
In other words, he can log in, post original topics, comment on other topics, and exchange personal messages with other primitives.
So why isn't he posting his own stuff himself, rather than having a lackey do it?
-
Are any of the DUmmies complaining because Alan wants to create jobs that pay only $30,000.00?

If moonbat Grayson ever tries to run for public office again, we absolutely have to "Walldude" him by pointing out his DUmp posts/references to his opponent.
-
Does his jobs plan include fat people? he seems to have a problem with them.
-
This fat **** is apparently too stupid to realize that money does not create jobs; the need for a product or service creates jobs. Grayson, once again, proves to me how brick f'n stupid he is.

Yes, as Erasmus points out, it's not as simple as Skye, Sage, Star, Storm and Shitforbrains make it out to be.
The only comment from the DUmp? K&R. One after the other. It's such an original thought.
-
How would that money be used to create jobs? Maybe from 6 year olds it can be overlooked but from a man in his 40s? This is what passes for intellect?

Off topic a bit, but I'm not discussion forum savvy. What is K&R and what is a bouncy?

“We are spending $159,000,000,000.00 on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan this year.
Okay, so say hostilities are ended. How much of that figure do we still end up paying for involved personnel's salaries, clothing, housing, food, equipment, training, medical care, and deployment in a peacetime environment? Those costs don't just go away because they're not shooting at someone, so you're not going to save the entire $159B. Probably not even most of it.
Unless you're planning on forced separation of all those personnel from service, in which case you've created another massive unemployment issue.
This is why we don't let Alan Grayson's children come up with answers to the country's economic issues.
This is why we don't let DUers come up with answers to the country's economic questions.

K&R at the DUmp means "Kick and Recommend"
A bouncy is a made up tale told at the DUmp to make the OP appear like a sooper jeenius.
