So yesterday my local shit stirrers covered yet another anti stim story
A solar company that received stim funds is closing down... why? CHINA. They cannot compete with China... yes it is that simple.
So instead of my local shit stirrers raising the elephant in the room... (cheap labor, free trade and all that)... they of course twisted this as to how the stim is worthless.
Now let me say something though... that factory, not the first, is a symbol of what is wrong. We cannot compete with foreign cheap labor. Our leaders, here it is BOTH parties, instead of going... hmm perhaps this is no longer a good idea... are going MORE FREE TRADE... yep that will create jobs...
And this is the summary of what is going wrong.

Why is it so hard for them to understand that China is still an authoritarian communist country that rules by the barrel of a gun,keeping its people in poverty.

I heard today from the CEO of Gibson on Glenn Beck, that the feds said all their trouble will go away if they pack up shop and move to India. I wonder if Nadin will discuss that.

They can't compete with cheap labor, but they all want a "living wage" with full benefits.
Oh, and nadin? Ever think that it might be the economic climate and crushing regulation in California that might have screwed them over as well?

Why do DUmbasses get all xenophobic and protectionist and shit when it comes to jobs? Don't the Chinese deserve jobs, too? Whatever happened to all that "We Are The World" stuff?
They don't mind every Tom, Dick and Geraldo coming up illegally from Mexico and points south and watering down the job market, but Chang can't catch a break so he can buy his momma an extra bowl of rice? What's up with that?
Oh, that's right. Chang doesn't have the potential to become another Democrat voter.

I always thought that most peculiar, myself.
The primitives have always been praising European socialism (both western and eastern) to the skies, but at the same time certainly Maoist socialism more fits the primitives' ideal.
And since Red China's a socialist paradise of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all, the primitives should feel compelled to support it by buying as many of their products and services as possible, rather than from evil old capitalist American corporations.
But yet the primitives don't.
I'm sure this betrays the racism of the primitives; they don't like yellow people.

More to the point, DUmbshite Nadine, why is it that a local College went "green" with solar, but out of the 17 MILLION dollars they spent, 12.5 mil was SUBSIDIZED BY TAXPAYERS?
Would they have done it, if had not been?

Correct. While the cheaper labor and lower taxes are big pieces of the pie the biggest is REGULATIONS. Ridiculous regulations with huge penalties that are in no way comparable to the offense. Add in that there are petty people in government that think their role is to stop any and all business activity and you have 75% of the reasons that no sane person would risk opening up a business in the USA.
Until the government quits throwing roadblocks for entrepreneurs there will be no business growth.
