Oh, this is toooo FUnnie!!! The DUmmies are going BERSERK over the fact that Speaker of the House Boehner told Obama that he needs to give his speech at a later time than The One unilaterally declared that he would give on September 7 without first asking permission as is custom. Obama & Co. were too cute by half by declaring he would give a speech to a joint session of Congress at the same time a Republican presidential candidates debate was scheduled at the Reagan Library. What the Bamster and his minions failed to realize is that September 7 was the first day of the Congress back in session with a vote scheduled at 6:30 PM which not would allow enough time to make preparations for another in the endless series of Obama jobs speeches.
Of course, the next day, September 8 would be available so Obama can speak at the same time as the NFL season kickoff. OOPS! The "disrepectful" bump has the DUmmies in an uproar as you can see in their THREAD (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4980625), "Boehner Fires Back at Obama Over Scheduling of Jobs Speech." Of course, Obama wouldn't have placed himself in such a humiliating spot if he hadn't tried to act cute with the scheduling and consulted FIRST with Boehner as is the custom. As it is The One is now forced to eat crow. So let us now watch the DUmmies foam at the mouth in Bolshevik Red over the rescheduling of an Obama speech which is utterly meaningless while the commentary of your humble correspondent, reminding the DUmmies that there are three EQUAL branches of government, is in the [barackets].
:sad1:

What difference does it make to Obama anyway. It's just going to be another :jerkit: speech from Obama's teleprompter. There isn't actually going to be anything proposed that would actually help job creators create jobs. Obama's arresting job creators.
-
I wonder if Obama even has specifics for his speech, or just a bunch of generalities.
I think this Rat jobs program will depend more on new spending than on business.
-
I think Obama did this on purpose so the topic will be how "disrespectful" the republicans are instead of his nonexistent jobs plan.
-
Obama is just like the DUmmies. He loves being a victim.
LOL, they sure are pissy. :rotf:

I don't think Stinky understands The Balance of Power. We have this for a reason. The President is not a monarch, or a dictator. he is voted(keyword here) by the people!!

Before this guy came along, a presidential address was a special thing, a big deal. Before this jug-eared muslim, we would go weeks, sometimes months, without an in-person speech from the President, except for the last two or three months of a reelection campaign.
Even a cynical, manipulative ass like Clinton could go weeks at a time, doing his job and diddling chicks, without a public speech.
But this guy, this guy, this Kenyan amateur, carts his teleprompter and his peanut gallery bleachers off to someplace around the country every single day to read a speech on the cable networks. Every single day. (And I would have used Pittian dots if they didn't make me nauseous.)
So, with this guy, a televised speech is just one of his seven weekly televised speeches.
Hardly a special event worthy of emergency scheduling.

Hmmm.
One wonders if the sparkling husband dude ever expressed similar sentiments when George Bush got slapped around.
-
For illumination of the sparkling husband dude:
"We appreciate the President working with us tonight and look forward to hearing his new proposals," a Boehner spokesman said.
Earlier Wednesday, Obama's letter to congressional leaders had requested to speak before a joint session of Congress on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m., which is the very same time as the scheduled GOP two-hour debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
The president, however, first needed permission from congressional leaders in order to deliver the address.
While House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi welcomed the president, Boehner had said in a letter late Wednesday afternoon that he would like the president to pick a different time, and told GOP members during a conference call that he'd invite Obama to speak on Thursday.
Since the House does not come into session until Sept. 7, with votes scheduled that evening, Boehner had expressed concern about the time it would take to conduct the security sweep in time for a presidential speech. He did not mention the debate in his reasoning.
Sources familiar with the conference call also said Boehner explained that a joint session is a difficult procedure to pull off in a short time.
"It is my recommendation that your address be held on the following evening, when we can ensure there will be no parliamentary or logistical impediments that might detract from your remarks," Boehner had written.
Boehner's spokesman added in a statement that the White House had also ignored protocol by not first requesting a date from the speaker's office.
"It's unfortunate the White House ignored decades -- if not centuries -- of the protocol of working out a mutually agreeable date and time before making any public announcement," Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called it a "thinly-veiled political ploy."
"President Obama's decision to address Congress at the same time as a long-scheduled Republican Presidential debate cements his reputation as Campaigner-in-Chief," he said in a written statement.
Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe didn't buy the White House explanation. "No, that's not just coincidental," the Oklahoma senator told Fox News Radio, suggesting mischief was afoot. "Why else would he choose 8 o'clock on Wednesday?"
However, by scheduling the speech on the same night, the president ran the risk of becoming even more of a punching bag if the debate sponsors pushed back the time. Republican candidates would have had an immediate opportunity to rebut the president's speech on live TV.
"Potentially, it will backfire," said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics. "Obama's elevated this debate to a face-off with him rather than a face-off with the Republican candidates."
Andrea Saul, spokeswoman for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, had said in a statement that viewers would have a choice between "Republican candidates talking about the future of America, or Barack Obama talking about the future of his presidency."

Obama can eat a dick. He makes the nation wait while he chickenwings his way through endless rounds of golf on his endless vacation in White People Land to deliver what is sure to be a shitty jobs plan,
so now he can wait.
I'm sure he'll use the time to find some more "green" jobs, anyway, when the only "green" jobs in the world involve getting paid to pick boogers.
-
Corporate jets, do not forget them. He won't.
My money's on "crumbling infrastructure".
In fact, I'll bet if you toss down a shot every time the teleprompter says "infrastructure",
you'll pass out halfway through the speech.
-

He can talk about infrastructure all he wants, but no DUmmies out of work are going to sign up to do any manual labor. They're going to want to program in dead computer languages, write poetry, strum guitars, or "teach" Chomsky...anything but swing a pick. They're too GOOD for that, even at a "living wage."
If I were President, I would say this:
"Our effort to implement a jobs program is going to be hampered by the fact that, by and large, American workers are pussies and would never stoop to do the sort of work created by the New Deal. I want to lower unemployment, but we have enough ****ing "baristas" already. Teaching people to make hummus is public access shit, not something I'm going to pay people to do. When I see the qualifications of the average unemployed American, I see an overeducated loudmouth who wishes the government would pay them $75K a year to strum a guitar at an old folks home. **** that noise. Infrastructure? Yeah, we need it. But we're going to have to bring in some more Mexicans and Chinese to do it, because Womyn's Studies departments don't exactly teach you to dig a post hole. America: you are, on average, ****ing wusses."
-
As aways, his "advisors", advised him wrong.
I heard it.
"Mr. President, schedule your speech during the debate, then they just HAVE to change the time".
"That for sure will show the nation, who's boss."
"you da man!!1!"
Ooops.
Again.
-
"Republican candidates talking about the future of America, or Barack Obama talking about the future of his presidency."
That right there is a beautiful quote. Nicely done Romney staff.
I think Obama truly believes he is a king and as such, he need not consult with anyone on matters which pertain to his schedule. He was slapped down by the GOP congress yet once again.
A weaker man I pray we will never see in the Oval office.

You're absolutely right. He picks and chooses which laws to follow, ruling by EO, ignores contract law, favors certain and districts, and governs by fiat through his endless regulatory agencies. :bird:
Going to take a boatride over and briefly look at the assploded heads.

He may be the most powerful man in the world, but the Constitution mandates separation of powers and so Congress controls its own agenda...
It sometimes tires me that a foreigner needs to explain basic principles of the U.S. Constitution to the DUmp.

Any word if NBC will delay the season opener of football to carry the speech next Thursday? :???:

Aristotlian, public schools hardly teach civics anymore. My only hope is that the DUmmies pick up some by osmosis just from lurking here.

Stanky stumbled upon something those of us who actually appreciate and want US Constitutional Law followed to the letter know to be a fact: No matter how powerful one man is, he does not hold all of the power; just as our Founding Fathers intended.
Blind squirrel, broken clock, etc.
At least that's good enough for openers.

Uh, no, DUmbass, he can't. Thankfully, Speaker Boehner (bless his crybaby heart) had enough spine run up his backside by the voters to tell the wannabe boy king to jam his summons up his glutial cleft.
I know it may be hard for your tiny mind to comprehend but the decent and civilized people of the good ol' US of A do not want a king. You might, but we don't.

Sorry, DUmmie, but the laser-like train left the station a long time ago. This speech, just like all of the rest of them, is going to be nothing but hot air and empty words - ie a waste of time. But, at least hussein will be doing what he knows how to do best - run his yap.
