The Guardian has been taking lessons from the DUmp. Lots of "name removed" there in the comments section.

Truth, garlic, vampires, all that stuff.

Is there anything that doesn't offend muslims ?

Besides bestiality, paedophilia and barbarity that is.

Great post. I would add that they love themselves a good ole' fashioned suicide bombing as well.
After all, their religion teaches them to love one another, themselves and not to hate or kill.  ::) ::)

The contrast between the "Guardian" and the Telegraph is amazing. The "Guardian" has always been inundated with moonbats.

"Bestiality" is already listed.

...on the other hand, it's a coloring book about 9-11?   :wtf3:

What's the problem?

9/11 didn't happen? It isn't something that kids should learn about? If your complaint is that a coloring book isn't the appropriate vehicle for remembering the worst terrorist attack on our soil, what would be your alternative?

Would you say that kids barely old enough to color in a book don't need to learn that stuff? If so, why?

At which point in an American's life should American history be taught and, conversely, not taught?

Just curious.....

I don't know, just using a coloring book, which is practically metaphor for fun, happy, stress-free, mindless activity, to teach little kids about the 9-11 history seems twisted to me.  When I think about coloring books I think Strawberry Shortcake, Winnie-the-Pooh, at the darkest Batman and most serious the Bible.  No, I don't think 9-11 is an appropriate subject for a coloring book.  There is no possible way to make one that would not be offensive or traumatic, just IMHO.

I don't think small children should be exposed to too much detail regarding such horrific happenings.  I know my 5 year old was traumatized during black history month over the story of MLKJR's death.  Because - 5 year olds don't understand death, and violent death is too scary for them.  I do stress - as little children.  Just wait til they're a little older for the details.  There's nothing wrong with informing them that there was a tragedy caused by bad guys and we are as a country fighting to keep the bad guys from ever repeating this.  This, is totally enough for a 5 year old, and not enough for a coloring book; hence scrap the coloring book.

Honestly, I would not give my 5 year old a coloring book about the Vietnam war, or the Civil war for that matter, either.  It's just...creepy.

I turn the question back to you fine sir, do you think children barely old enough to color in a book DO need to learn that stuff?  At what point in an American's life should the gory details of 9-11, or any other history, be taught?

I think kids coloring in a coloring book aren't old enough to truly understand the ramifications of WHAT THE SUBJECT MATTER IS. It's just a book made of cheap paper that has figures, between which the kid can scribble and paint and use whatever creativity the kid possesses to make it look better.

Now, I'm not going to say that all such kids are clueless. Some clearly have to know what it is they're coloring and what it means.

Those questions should be answered by a parent in the most appropriate manner.

Let's face it, Sherry, most parents wouldn't even think of buying that kind of book and giving it to their kid for coloring purposes. So it's really a non-issue -- that's my overall point.

The people putting the coloring book together are making a political and moral statement -- nothing more.

Fair enough, and agreed.  I just think it's...creepy...one of those things that makes me think, "Who does that?"

If their liberal "educator" doesn't like the way they color things, there will be hell to pay.

WTF I just noticed the guy is hiding behind the woman!

Thats because, according to the article:

Quote
One page of the $6.99 book, which has been given a PG rating, shows Bin Laden hiding behind a hijab-wearing woman as he is shot by a Navy SEAL. "Being the elusive character that he was, and after hiding out with his terrorist buddies in Pakistan and Afghanistan, American soldiers finally locate the terrorist leader Osama bin Laden," runs the text accompanying the picture. "Children, the truth is, these terrorist acts were done by freedom-hating radical Islamic Muslim extremists. These crazy people hate the American way of life because we are FREE and our society is FREE."

That "guy" is bin Laden and, as the story goes, he hid behind his wife in at least one point in the operation. It didn't save him, as we (and he) discovered. He took a 5.56 round just above his left eye.

It IS a picture in a children's coloring book, not a forensic sketch of the blessed event.  :cheersmate:

This is wonderful! If anyone is offended, TOO BAD.
Free speech is a wonderful thing. Political Correctness is simply a way to censor free speech.

I live in the US, I just heard about this product and I'm going to buy a number of these for Christmas gifts...and save one for my own collection,

Bin Laden started it. We finished it. He's dead. We killed him. I think children ought to know the great holy warrior hid behind a woman at the very end. This book is a great educational tool.

Ya know the embassies of the new Muslim Brotherhood nations will enjoy these as well...
